I don’t feel like typing out everything but basically she said all women are oppressed etc and I said a lot of these problems like rape don’t just happen to women but to men and gays and lesbos and Christians and everyone else and that the issue isn’t all the patriarch it’s that society is lacking in good masculinity in the kind that has us stand up for our fellow man and that I should hope that if someone were being raped or whatever else someone would stand up for them. She then said that because she spent all semester proving how women are oppressed that I devalued her experiences as a woman and other people’s experiences and that she will not allow my discourse any further.

I don't think there's a concerted effort to make an Orwellian surveillance state, but I do think there are people who feel we should go just a little further and who will use scare tactics to achieve that
