im talking about *children* who are *forced* into these camps

2019-02-08 17:47:27 UTC

what blanket statement

2019-02-08 17:47:55 UTC

You said that the camps are abusive. You didn't say that their parents forcing them to attend was abusive

2019-02-08 17:48:03 UTC

And *children* are *forced* to do all sorts of things. Because they're children.

2019-02-08 17:48:21 UTC

yeah children have no say in any of this 99% of the time

2019-02-08 17:48:29 UTC

@NPC007 the camps dont allow them to leave

2019-02-08 17:48:53 UTC

As with most places, kids don't have a say in matters until they are financial independent, or 18

2019-02-08 17:49:00 UTC

Sometimes 16/17

2019-02-08 17:51:31 UTC

Still though... the massive flaw in this argument is that @Grenade123 brought this thing up and compared it to the covington situation which is a typical false equivalency between left and right. People like you will pick some fringe activity of some small group on the right and compare it to something mainstream on the left.

2019-02-08 17:51:54 UTC

*relatively small

2019-02-08 17:52:47 UTC

its a small group on the left too, the problem is politicians which bend the knee to these small but loud groups

2019-02-08 17:52:49 UTC

My family is christian and I have never heard of anybody in our church or community even thinking of sending someone to gay conversion camps. there was a gay teen at my family's church

2019-02-08 17:53:11 UTC

thats good for you

2019-02-08 17:53:12 UTC

it is prominent journalists on the left

2019-02-08 17:53:17 UTC

very good, I have plenty of left leaning friends who also don't like hate speech laws

2019-02-08 17:53:19 UTC

your point?

2019-02-08 17:53:20 UTC

and celebrities

2019-02-08 17:53:44 UTC

and a ton of people on twitter.

2019-02-08 17:53:50 UTC

remember tims vid? remember the study? the far left is something like 8 percent

2019-02-08 17:54:27 UTC

currently they have been the loudest and most bombastic in the last 5 years

2019-02-08 17:54:37 UTC

yeah and yet somehow the dems keep supporting this crazy rhetoric on TV

2019-02-08 17:54:47 UTC

how is it still on TV if nobody agrees?

2019-02-08 17:55:27 UTC

because the stations had lots of money before, and have been struggling to keep people tuning in

2019-02-08 17:55:52 UTC

fox news gets way more traffic than the next 3 big lefty networks combined according to viewership

2019-02-08 17:56:07 UTC

Tim sees more traffic than a lot of these places

2019-02-08 17:56:23 UTC

money can keep things on TV, doesn't mean people tune into watch it

2019-02-08 17:56:28 UTC

Fox gets a lot because there's not many options on the right

2019-02-08 17:56:34 UTC

on TV

2019-02-08 17:56:47 UTC

and its only been the last 2 years that they ramped it up to 11 in terms of ultimate crazy

2019-02-08 17:56:53 UTC

I've seen the ratings. the left networks combined are more than the rights

2019-02-08 17:56:54 UTC

before 2016, dems still wanted a wall

2019-02-08 17:57:27 UTC

although we do have the problem of people who vote based off party and not what people are saying

2019-02-08 17:57:34 UTC

that exists on both sides

2019-02-08 17:58:05 UTC

people on the right are often voting against the lefts policies

2019-02-08 17:58:19 UTC

and the people on the left vote against right polices

2019-02-08 17:58:46 UTC

people on the left are often voting against the people on the right. not necessarily the policies

2019-02-08 17:58:58 UTC

but because "that party, in my life time, once voted for x", they never look at the recent polices

2019-02-08 17:59:17 UTC

yeah tbh

2019-02-08 17:59:36 UTC

like i said earlier, if i had gotten into politics at least a decade ago i likely would have supported the Democrats more

2019-02-08 17:59:51 UTC

nah i think a lot of it is "those republicans are racists I don't want to hear what they're saying"

2019-02-08 17:59:55 UTC

people rarely look at policies. doesn't matter who you are. you look at headlines. then vote against the policies reported in the headlines. regardless of what the law actually says
