Meh

2019-02-21 20:54:56 UTC

Everything is white people's fault

2019-02-21 20:55:25 UTC

I don't agree with that at all

2019-02-21 20:55:29 UTC

I just happen to be in favour of reparations

2019-02-21 20:55:55 UTC

I mean, sure, I could get a job, make my own money, grow my own food, pay my own bills...

2019-02-21 20:56:03 UTC

But white people are white

2019-02-21 20:56:13 UTC

you could set a class of person where you have to demonstrate slavery in your history, which isn't an impossible feat by any means

2019-02-21 20:56:14 UTC

Therefore, gimme gimme gimme

2019-02-21 20:56:20 UTC

I really just don't see the point in reparations, Nobody alive today was a slave back then and even then a very small percentage of people owned slaves to begin with

2019-02-21 20:56:31 UTC

Why the hell do white people still dare to be white? Haven't they learned anything from the past few years?

2019-02-21 20:56:58 UTC

the idea that all wealth is the result of personal hard work is one of the great lies of our time

2019-02-21 20:57:05 UTC

you know there are people who don't work at all who are wealthy

2019-02-21 20:57:11 UTC

there's such a thing as corporate welfare

2019-02-21 20:57:12 UTC

Yes

2019-02-21 20:57:18 UTC

Yasssss

2019-02-21 20:57:19 UTC

there are also people who work two jobs and still can't make ends meet

2019-02-21 20:57:26 UTC

Slay kwueen

2019-02-21 20:57:28 UTC

And if taxes are going to reparations where's the reparations for people whos taxes are being unfairly used to pay reparations for something they were never involved in

2019-02-21 20:57:34 UTC

corporate welfare should be abolished

2019-02-21 20:57:40 UTC

There's so many reasons I give no shits

2019-02-21 20:58:00 UTC

and so should the patent system

2019-02-21 20:58:01 UTC

@🥞🥞🥞🥞🥞🥞 would you give a shit for a dollar?

2019-02-21 20:58:06 UTC

I didn't say taxes should fund reparations, necessarily. ideally you would try to trace the wealth that is rooted in slavery and find a way of recouping it. kind of like lifting the statue of limitations on a certain class of lawsuit

2019-02-21 20:58:25 UTC

That's like punishing someone for being born

2019-02-21 20:58:37 UTC

Are you sure you want to do that?

2019-02-21 20:58:39 UTC

so what would you call being born wealthy? being rewarded for being born?

2019-02-21 20:59:00 UTC

And does this mean reparations only apply to black slavery in America?

2019-02-21 20:59:08 UTC

I was under the impression slave owners weren't necessarily rich

2019-02-21 20:59:14 UTC

What about the blacks that owned slaves?

2019-02-21 20:59:30 UTC

I don't know the statistics but I believe slave owners were mostly also property owners

2019-02-21 20:59:31 UTC

Heck, slave owners maybe even leaned to the poorer side

2019-02-21 20:59:34 UTC

were there middle class slave owners?

2019-02-21 20:59:39 UTC

Do Egyptians owe jews reparations?

2019-02-21 20:59:43 UTC

typically - I forget where I pulled the information, but usually by the 4th generation, inheritance no longer plays a major role in wealth as it's mostly spent away and divided amongst family so much that it's a pittance.

2019-02-21 21:00:00 UTC

Tractors were new and cool around that that

2019-02-21 21:00:00 UTC

Do Native Americans owe blacks reparations?

2019-02-21 21:00:10 UTC

I would be interested in knowing how true that is Tornzy so I wish you did have a source for it

2019-02-21 21:00:39 UTC

Well it kinda works like this

2019-02-21 21:00:40 UTC

I mean, inflation itself is a factor I'm sure

2019-02-21 21:01:04 UTC

but notwithstanding the wealth itself, like the dollars and cents, prosperity has a way of begetting prosperity
