yes I get it dude, non-whites owned slaves

2019-02-21 21:09:13 UTC

black slavers in africa owned the slaves that were sold to the europeans

2019-02-21 21:09:24 UTC

I am not contradicting that

2019-02-21 21:09:41 UTC

It seems they tried the most "practical solution" back in the 60s: welfare and affirmative action

2019-02-21 21:09:45 UTC

being black wont be a disability if white pays reparations

2019-02-21 21:09:48 UTC

😎

2019-02-21 21:09:50 UTC

big think

2019-02-21 21:10:00 UTC

welfare is just the new slavery

2019-02-21 21:10:14 UTC

There's been "reparations" and "white guilt" going on since the 60s

2019-02-21 21:10:15 UTC

that and prisons

2019-02-21 21:10:15 UTC

u can beat the slave but cant beat the slavery out of the slave

2019-02-21 21:10:19 UTC

👏

2019-02-21 21:10:23 UTC

Huh

2019-02-21 21:10:28 UTC

WOKE

2019-02-21 21:10:30 UTC

TAKE

2019-02-21 21:10:33 UTC

This whole reparations argument stems from claiming to be a victim, and that as a so called victim you deserve a monetary reward for it. Seeing people like Obama & Been Carson both running for president at one point should be more than enough proof on how far black people can go. Racism isn't this huge barrier holding people back.

2019-02-21 21:10:42 UTC

You know what prevents welfare and prison slavery?

2019-02-21 21:10:58 UTC

Fathers

A good education? Having two responsible parents in the household?

2019-02-21 21:11:22 UTC

not quite Zerioc, the reparations argument comes from the fact that the work of someone's ancestors was not paid, i.e. was stolen, by the person who was exploiting them for monetary gain. and that that wealth should be returned to the next-of-kin of who rightfully had title to it. it's not the same thing as damages in a legal sense

2019-02-21 21:11:30 UTC

Not having kids super early in life?

2019-02-21 21:11:31 UTC

it's more like the tracing remedy in equity

2019-02-21 21:11:49 UTC

If welfare is slavery, then what would reparations be?

2019-02-21 21:12:00 UTC

How do you determine all of that?

2019-02-21 21:12:06 UTC

equity is what leftists keep using now instead of equality lmao

2019-02-21 21:12:09 UTC

slavery didn't happen *that* long ago

2019-02-21 21:12:19 UTC

equal outcome instead of equal opportunity

2019-02-21 21:12:31 UTC

based on race sex sexuality etc

2019-02-21 21:12:49 UTC

It happened long enough ago for nobody to still be alive

I like how I can't talk about a specific thing without you bringing in a bunch of other things that you don't agree with and lumping them in with what I'm talking about

2019-02-21 21:13:06 UTC

man when did doge memes become edgy and fun again

2019-02-21 21:13:12 UTC

since like last year

2019-02-21 21:13:24 UTC

I'm saying I agree with reparations in principle but in practice it would be difficult to accomplish, however, I also think that a practical, but imperfect solution is often better than no solution

2019-02-21 21:13:33 UTC

@Hearts™ you still haven't convinced me of reparations

2019-02-21 21:13:36 UTC

how's that for a doge meme

2019-02-21 21:13:36 UTC

But why continue to wallow in the past?
