I hope the answer is eco better

2018-07-14 01:08:31 UTC

But I suspect the answer is protectionist trash

2018-07-14 01:08:50 UTC

to my question?

2018-07-14 01:09:04 UTC

the answer is that you can't under capitalism

Remember the time you're talking about profiling this is a perfect example of profiling that leads to something else

2018-07-14 01:12:26 UTC

I suppose that depends on what you mean by capitalism. To be clear here, what specifically are you concerned about?

2018-07-14 01:13:16 UTC

@BrokenHeartedLiberal why do people protest Trump like somehow he is the problem, both candidates were shit and both "parties" are shit

2018-07-14 01:13:41 UTC

the usa is literally just a one party system with 2 factions

2018-07-14 01:14:13 UTC

atleast lenin didn't want factions in his one party system

2018-07-14 01:14:50 UTC

Because executing all of your opposition is an excellent move

2018-07-14 01:15:29 UTC

i think you skipped the part where they had trials

2018-07-14 01:16:13 UTC

I can't watch that til I'm back on wifi

2018-07-14 01:16:15 UTC

@Diablo Amen brother

2018-07-14 01:16:29 UTC

Also you didn't answer my prior question

2018-07-14 01:16:33 UTC

also if stalin executed his oppositions why would he try to leave office 4 times

2018-07-14 01:16:43 UTC

What specific scenario are you concerned about?

2018-07-14 01:19:15 UTC

first off most of the executions were people using actual threats to the government, there was an allied opposition of trots and anarchists against the government. besides after the american revolution, some loyalists were either executed or deported to australia

2018-07-14 01:24:05 UTC

Before we get into what sounds like an amusing level of apologia for a brutal regime, I would like you to outline this scenario that capitalism cannot under any circumstances fix. There are many scenarios one could apply the term "economic imperialism" to, and so it's rather imperative that you form a non vague question if you desire a non vague answer

2018-07-14 01:24:53 UTC

hey this might be a long shot, and apologies if this is gauche, but: anyone here hiring junior software engineers either full time remote or in the austin TX area? my gf has been looking for work for a few months now with not much luck

2018-07-14 01:25:17 UTC

you don't know how economic imperialism works?

2018-07-14 01:27:42 UTC

The world banks give a developing country loans which turn into debt. Then they force them to have free markets which decreases public services but allows private companies to get more profit. If the country rebels against it, they send in the troops. Like the Invasion of Iraq fro example: the USA claimed they had destructive weapons but that was a lie and the war helped companies get oil for profit.

2018-07-14 01:33:34 UTC

Hey do you remember earlier how we're talking about police and how they profile people

2018-07-14 01:34:04 UTC

i wasn't here for that

2018-07-14 01:34:31 UTC

This raises more questions though. For one- why are *all* nations, not simply developing ones, currently running on a basis of debt? Is it only this specific debt that is an issue? Why would it only be developing nations? Would say, Greece be a good target? If the goal is to keep costs down, why would they allow India to develop?

2018-07-14 01:35:06 UTC

YouTube video that I posted it's an example of profiling leading to wrong license plates leads to shooting

2018-07-14 01:35:11 UTC

Like India is doing gangbusters right now on the tech end

2018-07-14 01:37:05 UTC

@Beemann the 1st world has more technology and more public services so they can't be exploited, the 3rd world however are an easy target for big businesses backed up by state. The 1st world would benefit and the 3rd world would suffer. Even if they don't want them to suffer, that's how the capitalist system works.

2018-07-14 01:38:07 UTC

How are they suffering if it's bolstering their development, as it is with India?

2018-07-14 01:39:25 UTC

i never said that developed nations cant be exploited, i just said most aren't and the 3rd world is an easier target

2018-07-14 01:40:17 UTC

like Ukraine for example, it had a choice of being exploited by the EU or Russia and the chose the EU because they had no other options

2018-07-14 01:40:40 UTC

How is the EU exploiting Ukraine?

2018-07-14 01:40:55 UTC

through their neoliberal free markets

2018-07-14 01:41:05 UTC

Especially compared to to, you know, the USSR, which starved millions of them to death

2018-07-14 01:41:16 UTC

no they didn't

2018-07-14 01:41:19 UTC

Okay but that's a vague answer

2018-07-14 01:41:45 UTC

ever since the USSR fell Ukraine hasn't recovered from its economy

2018-07-14 01:42:04 UTC

You're denying the Holodomor?

2018-07-14 01:42:10 UTC

no

2018-07-14 01:42:35 UTC

the holodomor was a natural famine but the kulaks worsened it by burning all the crops
