No good decentralization for RTC
Once I get past nginx and it's finnicky shit I was gonna tinker with Rocket chat
@Beemann When you are setting up a channel.or a server, most people stick to the most famous platforms since those have larger numbers of consumers
Right but as people get arbitrarily banned, it becomes reasonable to look elsewhere
It's why people aren't moving to bitchute en masse
The YT thing is more complicated
DLive.io is blowing up
Discord channels are isolated. There's less reason to stick around
Not really
Most dank brigade users are in other servers too
Sure, but that's like saying Mumble and Team speak can't simultaneously exist
People used both
Because you're only really beholden to the communities you choose
So if dank brigade goes down, it doesn't make sense to download another applications, make a new account, and use it regularly just for a single place
I have been in discord since beta, I use slack daily
Whereas with YT it's dependent on the larger userbase
Some people can do it
Most people don't wanna
People like simple. Having multiple applications isn't simple
I personally use Riot along with dicord
Atm
Yeah....
I also use skype lol
I use s4b
Skype is cancer. I uninstalled it and forced my last few contacts to bail on it as well lol
Commercial Skype is trash
But I have an O365 tenant so…
Fair enough
But yeah, as everything becomes centralized and cloud based, I look more and more for user hosted shit
RTC on IPFS is something that I have looked at
VoIP is really hard to get good though
Mumble ain't bad for voice, and has irc integration through plugins
But unfortunately it's 1-way
Ooh Denmark is banning the hijab and niquab
Cool
I miss the days before reddit where forums were all user hosted
Get banned on one, go to the next
You know, I think that is the perfect solution to mass immigration by muslim fundamentalists
remove kebab
Man the number of people who are like "why would we need forums? Just use reddit"
