Hey hey
If we have sexbots
We can have catgirls
relevant futurama:

why would you want a bigger cat with human intelligence
For ppl who dont mind wall of text
that just seems like a terrible idea
I found a video where a guy said that 80% of men would be MGTOW in 5 years
catgirls are a fucking mistake
There is plenty wrong with authors argument
The right concocted it? Nah
Just read it
To me it seems like the author didnt realy know what he wanted to say
I only rarely agree with Guardian opinion pieces. They deliberately seek out extreme opinion for clickbait.
Aside from the old you have internet so non platforming isnt realy censorship argument
Some opinion pieces there are not so bad
Early disagreement with it. It's not just a right wing thing. I'm a centre left social democrat and fully believe there's an anti-Enlightenment insurgency coming out of critical theory in academia.
I would agree but its teritorial issue
We dont have this problem in czech for example
I remember watching triumph des willens in student film club as an example of well done propaganda for example
They cite a number of studies which are just wrong.
Here's Sean Steven's takedown of the argument that it's all overblown. Do read it, it's a 3-parter intended for academic audiences.
https://heterodoxacademy.org/skeptics-are-wrong-about-campus-speech/
You could hardly do that in the uk
And Sean Steven has lots of numbers to back it up and addresses most of the common arguments point-by-point.
I wonder how many traditional media companies are desperate for cash that they resort to clickbait
Seems like alot
Almost all at this point.
Well clickbait is wide spread from right to left
Tbh in the uk daily express is the biggest click baiter lol
Titles like" jacob rees mog refuted this remoaner argument with this excelent point"
And so on lol
Skim read it and I disagreed with the whole thing bar the criticisms of US right wingers. Eg. Nonsense like the coupling of free speech and free markets which in reality are entirely unrelated concepts.
His thesis is that there is no problem with academia and rather what's happening is that conservatives are panicking about a reduction in their voter numbers so inventing a moral panic. Well he must've been living under a rock the last decade because we've had a conservative government since 2010 and a Brexit movement largely spearheaded by right wing sentiment. Conservatives are not panicking about their voter numbers.
Yep
It was rather wrong
Thats why i showed it to you lot
I think we are at the stage where some ppl on the left are starting to react to this
But they are very late
They've been reacting.
