well... there are legitimate things to say about women's products costing more... mainly that it's either dumb to buy the pink one if the color is the only difference and that you can decide to go for the lower quality men's product if there is a difference other than the color.

Just scrolled up and there was a debate about CNN's influence outside USA. Nobody in UK pays any attention to CNN and given the rest of Europe would be having to watch it not in their native language, they likely have zero interest in it also. That leaves maybe Australia, Canada and New Zealand, which I know nothing about. But in Europe CNN is a non-entity.

i don't think other platforms have "fake review and get banned" policies, though

Actually though, even though none of us plebs in Europe watch CNN, I suppose that media organisations here may still be affected by CNN's output. Journalists in Europe may well watch CNN. So in that regard it can still have influence in Europe.

I think journalists in other continents or global regions get a lot of their information on the rest of the world via the "trusted sources" of those nations/regions (so CNN is probably viewed as a trusted source for finding out what's going on in USA).
