75 mg every day brah
XD yeah im talkin about before you get medication to treat it too
I'm waiting for my T4 results, my doctor is fairly sure I have hypothyroidism
low energy, hair loss, takes forever for me to lose weight
I started my treatment at 15 years of age, now 26. I was never even close to fat. In fact I was a skinny kid/early teens. I did practice sports and had a normal diet. A pizza here, a mc donalds there just not everyday
I hope you do get that confirmed because then you can start treatment for your symptoms and you'll recover before you know it.
yeah I'd really like that
that said, I'm still losing weight lol, it's just very slow
How old are you, if you don't mind me asking
25
It started out of nowhere? Or you just never checked before
never checked
Yeah, the earlier the better
noticed it in my early 20s
Hopefully everything will be fine
Since you didn't treat in your teens you could have been taller than you are as well
thyroid does everything in your body. sucks when you have problems 😦
yeah my drummer realised he had it a few months ago
luckily hes like 19
That happened to me. Bones fused at 14 due to a course of steroids I had to go on for inflammatory bowel disease. I'm 180cm though so happy enough at where I got to.
and we managed to have our other guitarist play drums
it sucks, I have been going to the gym or go running every day for the last 6 months and count calories and don't eat crap, and I've only lost like 10 pounds in that timespan
but it does show it is possible even with your body working against you
Exactly my point. You don't just magically become fat
Well, hopefully only good things from here on now. Once you start your treatment
A reason all this talk of "privilege" really rankles with me is that really health and wealth are the only privileges. And this shit about skin colour or eating too many pizzas steals focus away from the real issues such as safeguarding our health or making sure people have roofs over their heads.
the most unfortunate side effect is the divirtion of aiming for strength
You mean how it valourizes victimhood? Or makes a virtue of victimhood?
people strive to be the biggest victim, over becoming as strong as possible
diverts people away from becoming strong
Sure
essentially ensuring the maximising of their own suffering
Hmm, most of it is pseudo-suffering though, that was my point. Having black skin is not a problem. Having cancer is.
yeah
But I know what you mean though, it's the mentality it injects.
i find gaad sad has a good hypothesis
that its a mass case of munchausen syndrome by proxy
Ha! yeah, good way to put it!
where people are using the "oppression" of other people to garner attention for themselves on the behalf of these minorities
regardless of wether these minorities agree with their beleifs of oppresion or not
