Here's a real gripe of mine

I wish nationalist didn't get the negative connotation that it's received

to me I consider a nationalist similar to a patriot, someoen who loves and thinks their country is superior to others for many reasons

I dont' think that it now has a racist element to it when I dont' think it it should

People tend to mix "Patriotism" with "Chauvinism"

I think people probably abuse it to mean the former

Patriotism = "America is Great"
Nationaism = "America first"
Chauvinism = "anyone who's not loyal is a communist nazi cotton picker!"

The focal point of loyalty is the key

from a culture perspective I mean

not necessarily any individual administration or political party

but merely the American way of life

loyal to "our cause"

meaning that anyone who's not part of your cause is an irredeemable sinner (SJW mentality)

The point of America's system is to not put all trust in the President
