I'd sorta spoken with them before
Window seats WOULDN'T have been an option, because they saw no problem.
I'd been wearing black jeans for months
But the official thing was black pants of a different material
In the US, you're less likely to get in trouble for firing someone than you are to window-seat someone.
This new HR hire was the FIRST PERSON to complain.
And their basis was that they were saving me before someone else complained.
So.. that would've been the person I brought my concerns to.
**Fuck that.**
That sounds like an SJW
That's what HR is, dude.
That sounds like a hard line rule obsesionist.
HR is bullshit work.
They have NOTHING to do, but nitpick stupid shit like that.
HR is important in any company as youve experienced
They're middlemen.
If theyd hired someone who didnt make that complaint to you would you have been willing to bring your boss compliant forward?
Any competent person of a different position can pick up their tasks.
They just aren't complicated tasks.
If it's your entire job, you run out of meaningful things to do in a flash.
The people you put in place in HR will essentially dictate your company's culture.
Goodie goodie a violation. Something that justifies my presence.
If they put a poor choice in HR
Then they did, in fact, fuck up.
A compotent HR department should be doing regular visits and interviews with employees
I'd say the nature of the position itself is self-corrupting.
It kind of is.
Power corrupts
I don't know that I'll ever have an HR department in my company.
Small compnay ?
It's not even power. It's like a METER MAID that checks on employees.
State-wide.
Would you say a meter maid has power?
all the pissed off people hating on Tim for using the Political Compass test
lol
damn
Well done if youve managed to avoid HR up to this point
a girl asked for tims number tim getting leyd tonight
Here's the thing.
No, my company isn't statewide in influence
