Oh you mean the pokemon go tie in?

2018-08-11 17:54:22 UTC

i might get other games too ofc, but pokemon is the reason to buy

2018-08-11 17:54:29 UTC

core RPG game for the switch

2018-08-11 17:54:37 UTC

the tie in is already out i think

2018-08-11 17:54:44 UTC

rpg is next year somewhere

2018-08-11 17:54:52 UTC

That game looks really disappointing for being the first full mainline pokemon RPG on a home console

2018-08-11 17:55:01 UTC

its not that

2018-08-11 17:55:12 UTC

this is a remake of the original games

2018-08-11 17:55:18 UTC

but with the anime story

2018-08-11 17:55:20 UTC

But on the other hand you can give your pikachu new hairstyles

2018-08-11 17:55:36 UTC

Right, it's a remake of Yellow

2018-08-11 17:56:11 UTC

its funny you can play with a pokeball though, and only a pokeball controller

2018-08-11 17:56:18 UTC

But dumbed down for a new generation, because I guess it was too complicated for second graders the first time around

2018-08-11 17:56:44 UTC

most pokemon games have the easy to learn hard to master deal going on

2018-08-11 17:57:07 UTC

i dont think many 8 yo's are gona be IV EV training there pokes

2018-08-11 17:57:12 UTC

but they can still clear the game

2018-08-11 17:57:33 UTC

They've greatly simplified stuff like EV training in recent games

2018-08-11 17:57:46 UTC

But yeah that's not needed at all for beating the single player

2018-08-11 17:58:07 UTC

The only pokemon game I put time into was Pokemon Fire Red for GBA

2018-08-11 17:58:10 UTC

i agree, but EV training was a boring drag

2018-08-11 17:58:12 UTC

I put about 50 hours into that

2018-08-11 17:58:18 UTC

But in the new one you're not even ALLOWED to challenge a gym unless you have the right type pokemon

2018-08-11 17:58:32 UTC

I played until 2nd gen and then bailed

2018-08-11 17:58:34 UTC

i would have been happy to just see the EVs somewhere, but they had to add a mechanic to get them without fighting pokes

2018-08-11 17:58:58 UTC

And I beat gold with 3 Pokémon because 1carry is for scrubs and a 6team is tedious

2018-08-11 17:59:24 UTC

1 carry works really well

2018-08-11 17:59:35 UTC

Too well. It's boring

2018-08-11 17:59:42 UTC

aye, but its the kids way you know

2018-08-11 17:59:49 UTC

easy to learn, hard to master

2018-08-11 17:59:57 UTC

i train every pokemon, catch them as soon as i can

2018-08-11 17:59:58 UTC

True kids way is that Cinnabar Island way

2018-08-11 18:00:06 UTC

parrallel training of all of them

2018-08-11 18:00:08 UTC

There's nothing to master in the single player

2018-08-11 18:00:13 UTC

Dat dupe bug

2018-08-11 18:00:16 UTC

find out which ones i want to IV/EV train eventually

2018-08-11 18:00:19 UTC

Not that I mind, I still had fun with them

2018-08-11 18:00:32 UTC

battle tree is pretty hard to master

2018-08-11 18:01:30 UTC

shit, I'm in the middle of a pokemon Weeaboo debate

2018-08-11 18:01:44 UTC

PYUKUMUKU IS BEST BOI FITE ME

2018-08-11 18:01:45 UTC

It's lame how the co-op works in the new one too. It just lets you 2v1 the whole game without the opponents being made any harder
