That game looks really disappointing for being the first full mainline pokemon RPG on a home console

its not that

this is a remake of the original games

but with the anime story

But on the other hand you can give your pikachu new hairstyles

its funny you can play with a pokeball though, and only a pokeball controller

But dumbed down for a new generation, because I guess it was too complicated for second graders the first time around

most pokemon games have the easy to learn hard to master deal going on

i dont think many 8 yo's are gona be IV EV training there pokes

but they can still clear the game

They've greatly simplified stuff like EV training in recent games

But yeah that's not needed at all for beating the single player

The only pokemon game I put time into was Pokemon Fire Red for GBA

i agree, but EV training was a boring drag

I put about 50 hours into that

But in the new one you're not even ALLOWED to challenge a gym unless you have the right type pokemon

I played until 2nd gen and then bailed

i would have been happy to just see the EVs somewhere, but they had to add a mechanic to get them without fighting pokes

And I beat gold with 3 Pokémon because 1carry is for scrubs and a 6team is tedious

1 carry works really well

There's nothing to master in the single player

It's lame how the co-op works in the new one too. It just lets you 2v1 the whole game without the opponents being made any harder
