I gathered up my family and headed down to the nuclear bunker that is located in the bank downtown, so many other families were there as well.
The road was littered with cars, people trying to get to the bunker.
Basically that is what happen.
Sorry for the little story.
It was scary, after the shock came the scramble to bunkers.
S'all good. I always find it interesting to hear what other people's experiences were
I wonder if the Canooks will get 9/11ed
Everyone were worried. Everyone was shocked. We knew we were at war, but with who came across our minds.
Like I'm still not a fan of the (*still not fucking finished*) war on terror
But I've chatted with Afghanistan/Iraq vets
Some thought it was Russia, others thought it was with China...
I still appreciate their viewpoint and the fact that they fought for a cause they believed in
Lol. China? Don't they have dragon holes in their towers?
I thought it was a smaller nation south of our border.
Even if I think the war was fucked
And continues to be fucked
Every since 9/11. The world went off fucking kilter
Prior still tbh
Cold War fucked things hard
Afghanistan war was original war, the first place we strike. We were suppose to not go beyond that. Afghanistan didn't have a government and was completely controlled by Taliban who were harboring Al-Qaida.
You look back at a lot of the foundation of modern political rot and it started during the cold war
Then Bush decide to let his family's legacy happen, thus he worked towards attacking Iraq.
I honestly think he attacked Iraq to get back for what they did to his father.
Yeah, it also did a lot of good. Who knew that the threat of human annihilation would make the world so much more modern
I'm not sure if the US will ever recover from the social and political hits they took
I blame Bush for being a warmonger who wanted to finish what his father started.
There was no inside job due to 9/11... we were just caught with our pants down because we become used to peace.
I blame a lot of presidents. Including that cunt that allowed the federal reserve to exist
The generals at the time were fired or forced to resign.
They were forced to resign due to negligence.
It was basically pearl harbor all over again.
Oh and that vice-president piece of shit that allowed JFK to get assassinated
Our generals were not vigilant. They were used to everyday, getting grants from government and then just using that money to buy nice stuff.
Most of our generals didn't even fight on the battle field
Patton and MacArthur have the deepest of respects in my opinion.
If it was Russia or another nation, we probably would be fighting a land invasion because of their careless at that time.
We probably would still be fighting it, with insurgency from the militias at the time that dotted across United States.
I have no doubt Washington would have been wiped out, our new president and command center would be located in the midwest.
We wouldn't nuke our own land to get rid of Russian troops.
I don't know man, the military and homegrown militias would probably be to much on their own.
