Stillwater would probably avoid most of the fallout.
Plus there's almost certainly rot in the computers and stuff. And you'd have a hard time replacing those.
And coal power plant needs large and consistent amount of coal transported to it
That is true, the rot in computers is something.
Those are really specialized components that are hard to find. Particularly is CA got knocked out (as it likely would).
I might have civilians start using solar panels and coal generators.
Might make sense.
Nukes are like a gigantic god using a firesword. o:
And goin FWOOSH
The fundamentals of power generation are actually pretty simple.
FWOOSH
And KERPLOWWWWW
Pop pop pop
No, no pops.
The challenge is usually in the monitoring and scale.
Wop?
I wonder if it is possible to use wheat for generators.
Yes.
I rather have food
But the genrators you would use wouldn't be very efficient or common.
Or wood generator
Or a Wood Generator.
Salvage wood and use it.
Most power plants are really no different than taking a pot, filling it with water, boiling it over a fireplace and then using the steam to turn a propellor.
Yep
That's oversimplifying it of course, but that's really all you're doing.
I would try to get citizens to rebuild with Concrete and use lead base paint.
Super steam engine
Then use clear coating to protect from lead base paint poisoning.
Over complicating things.
Use what you have.
Keep it simple stupid
I'd probably use thatch and wheat chaff.
We will have to scrub down the buildings from radiation.
Concrete is perfect to be honest, it is cheap and easy to use.
I thought you'd waited for the radiation afterwards and scrubbed it all already?
It is much much cheaper than Wood.
Concrete is perfect...if you can produce it.
You need water for concrete
Rock Quarry is 5 miles out from stillwater.
