Wait, how bad is this disaster we are planning for
And advanced fabrication isn't something you're going to just have laying around anywhere.
Trades School, Local Community College, International College, OSU, Nuclear Fallout Shelter, Military Base, Military Compound, Military Bunker, and a Airport.
Which is a kinda key step.
We also have Local Farms just on Outskirts.
Our Cities infrastructure isn't that complex, we also have a nuclear plant and an shut down coal plant.
Realistically, Stillwater OK would be almost completely unaffected and could probably maintain it's current standard of living if it could avoid getting overcome by refugees and find new supply lines for stuff.
That is why I love Stillwater.
Nuclear plant would likely need to get shuttered. Where would you get more uranium?
Yeah it would get shuttered and Coal Plant restarted.
That's much harder than it sounds though.
Where you gonna get the coal
Local Coal mind could be restarted too.
coal isn't too hard in the US actually.
Tends to be everywhere.
And the coal country would probably be unscathed too.
We have so much useful stuff in this tiny area.
I am happy with Stillwater.
Restarting a coal plant is kinda hard though.
Large industrial facilities are very expensive and complicated to start or shut down.
Here is a map how the fallout would travel if it hit United States.
Stillwater would probably avoid most of the fallout.
Plus there's almost certainly rot in the computers and stuff. And you'd have a hard time replacing those.
And coal power plant needs large and consistent amount of coal transported to it
That is true, the rot in computers is something.
Those are really specialized components that are hard to find. Particularly is CA got knocked out (as it likely would).
I might have civilians start using solar panels and coal generators.
Might make sense.
Nukes are like a gigantic god using a firesword. o:
And goin FWOOSH
The fundamentals of power generation are actually pretty simple.
FWOOSH
And KERPLOWWWWW
Pop pop pop
No, no pops.
The challenge is usually in the monitoring and scale.
Wop?
I wonder if it is possible to use wheat for generators.
Yes.
