In canuckland no less
Thankfully students only have to take one class
I apparently also left just before social justice programs came in
there were inklings of it when I was in, had an openly feminist history prof, another that would cite Edward Said, Foucault, etc.
Believe it or not, the education department was pretty based, they really helped start to clue me in on things
My teachers were pretty normal and moderate, though apparently some of them converted
Those courses look like shit
I was handed a flier for a group called "Students for diversity and inclusion" at my college. I put the flier into the recycle bin infront of the people handing it out.
No way any of those courses will help any student in the real world
my school had a group of people who actively wanted to have linda mcmahon's name stripped from one of our new buildings because "she enabled violence against females"
BOMBARDMENT
@Crimsom sounds like you care more about the planet than those lefty loons
most of my friends where like "okay, you can do that...if you can raise the several million dollars donated for it."
Lmao, probably. Most of the shitty paper starbuck cups I see are at the top of garbage bins rather then recycling bin.
Part of me thinks that I should try to change colleges
Go back and get a masters
But part of me thinks that college is a dying industry and long term its better to stay out of it
>paper cup *on top* of the garbage bin
We need to reopen the prison colonies tbh
yeah, lets start deporting them to Australia again
@Blackhawk342 depends on the degree. We'll always needs accountants, doctors, lawyers and engineers
wait, perfect. lets make the moon a prison colony
To name a few
and teachers
spark the new space-race just to throw convicts off planet
Your college needs a fucking crusade @Blackhawk342
Career goal: Get history degree with a public history concentration so I can dress up and fuck around on an old civil war battle ground.
Fun fact - you can do that without a degree
Exactly, but I've got a full ride so might as well take it and have more at hand, rather than less.
Fair enough
lif you do go history, get a double major in something that puts bread on your table
Unfortunately experience is starting to matter more than degrees for a lot of industries
For example, if you have IT certifications you will get hired even if you havent graduated college
Yeah, reason why I work for museums and natural history sites over the summer. Pretty sure that should give me a foot up over everyone else.
Now if I somehow get a full/mostly full ride for grad school, i'll see about becoming a history professor. Would be nice to change things from the inside.
You have n idea. That'll help a lot, with the musem/nat. history sites. Sometimes places will have an opening thanks to a grant too. I got to work at an archive for a while b/c of that. Things lke that can turn into permanent work easy enough. You're a known quantity and if you do good work they'll want to keep you
*no idea.
Victory for Asians being discriminated!

Funny how SJW's policies end up discriminating.
