The NYTimes has segregated slack chatrooms.
but its like reversed. its super weird
time is going backwards lmao
progressives are truly just regressive, real progressivism barely exists anymore
Do you live in a heavily Democrat district?
I think I've blown a gasket on "progressive values"
They push this stuff to the forefront.
nope
lucky.
we are mixed demographic wise
city is more Dem but suburbs more Repub
the candidates tend to be more moderate as a result
Where I am it's among the most left-leaning places in America.
They do nothing but talk about "Progressive values"
cali?
It's worse than "family values" at the height of the 90s
NY.
so i wonder where chicago will go now
bankrupt?
well in relation to their mayor
Like my districts Dem candidate IS worth voting for (so far), they dont seem to be using ID Pol, they are born and raised in the area, have military experience (although i dont think that matters to much personally), theyve shown no signs of corruption, and seem to be principled. I plan to meet them soon so I will find out more. The Repub on the other hand has some corruption issues last i heard and unfairly aided in getting a third party candidate on the ballot, if said candidate did so on their own I wouldnt have a problem but because the Repub essentially helped I dont have much trust in them.
its all about whos best for the job
just know that ppl lie
yea ultimately
IDK. I've come to suspect that most politicians these days don't really matter that much individually.
They tend to just yield to the party when push comes to shove, particularly in the Democrats where the party has more levers of contorl.
its more the parties and the elites that tend to be the problem imo
Can agree a bit there.
well i worry that most say one thing then get in and do the completely opposite
^
god bless
ye thats a legitimate fear
especially nowadays
like as much as i think some of Bernies policies reek of socialism, he is at least principled
and sticks to them whenever possible
Perhaps. My concern at the end off the day is hard policy.
I don't like Sanders that much. I think he'd push very shortsighted socialist policies.
But Sanders is a has-been at this point.
The biggest issue i see with both parties and voters is the desire for instant results
