What about ethnicity?

I was born in Sweden and I've lived here all my life.

I will never consider myself Swedish.

I'm a Finn. Of Finns.

I'm a dual citizen. I'm welcome in either country.

Swedish is an official language of Finland.

Finnish is an official minority language in Sweden.

It used to be 1 country, "2" peoples (one can divide these).

But for me heritage matters.

Roots matter.

What defines an American isn't their roots. It's simply different in most of Europe.

Hmm

One thing is that it's very close, yeah - and there's a party no one wants to work with inbetween that has become very large.

After the last election the two alliances decided to make a deal to avoid working with the Sweden democrats, letting the Green party & the Social democrats sit in government.

Now the Alliance parties want the Prime Minister to resign and would refuse to cooperate with him in government. He and his party, however, wants to stay.

The Sweden democrats are still open to work with just about anybody, left or right.

The Greens were almost kicked out of the parliament aswell - you need atleast 4% of the votes and they received 4,3%.
