Hello, CallofVodka. Forgive me for questioning you as soon as you show up, but I've heard a rumor that France will not allow a man to get a paternity test without the mother's consent. Have you heard anything about this? If so, is it true?

@Claudiu (aka CallOfVodka) good grief. I didn't want to believe it or thought it might have been a bit of journalistic hyperbole. So, what's to prevent any woman from claiming any man is the father of her child? Does she at the very least have to show some evidence that they know each other? Or could she just walk out onto the street, point at the next man walking by and claim: "you are the father of my child."

@MaitoGuy Right? Why would any man have a job at all if an employer could pay a woman less for the same work? I know I wouldn't...
