@Deleted User what doyou think of the photos taken from the first rockets, up high in 1947
Hi
^^^^^^!!!!!
booya
ya
did you have an answer
from up high
interesting
@Deleted User how do you feel about the fact that the horizon drops with altitude
@Derek Nelson Curvature of the Earth: LIGOโs arms are long enough that the curvature of the Earth was a factor in their construction. Over the 4 km length of each arm, the Earth curves away by nearly a meter! Precision concrete pouring of the path upon which the beam-tube is installed was required to counteract this curvature.
FAIL
@Deleted User it was a photo dude
not digital
@Derek Nelson show me the engineering data supporting that claim
nor eason the towers would be anything but straight up
i did
just then
@Deleted User can metadata be faked?
it can't be faked?
how can it be erased then
oh ok so why would you want that
photographs don't have metadat
on film, there's metadata?
ok so it'd have something like 2001 or something
why do you want that
nice why do you want that
did he get hacked
wtf isn't this his server
that's a composite image
what about the images that aren't composites
Some of them would take it further and claim that the fact the photos are composites are โproofโ that there are no โrealโ photos of the Earth. They are wrong. There are many such pictures, which were taken in a single exposure.
And obviously, the existence of these composite pictures of Earth can never be used to prove a flat-Earth.
@Seeker of Truth why would satellites be visible?
even if there were satelites, would they be visible from that distance/
@Derek Nelson different zooms
@Derek Nelson "that is bullshit" is not a valid falsification method
@Derek Nelson easy here watch and learn:
@Derek Nelson let's talk about that last image
answer me this please, if the merry go round spins slowly, does it fling everything off?
@Seeker of Truth why does that guy disappear so soon, when boats disappear only after miles?
@Derek Nelson the projection of your line of sight to the horizon is a circle, which is a flat shape
planar
so you can see things behind the curve but not see the curve itself
untill you get really high up
see the projection of the FOV onto the globe? it makes a circle
"it's fake" is not a counterargument
@Citizen Z it's actualy .017
@Citizen Z angular resolution wouldn't make it disappear bottom up
your eyes resolution doesn't change for the bottom of the boat
that's not the right angle
angular size is what matter
yep
show me please
was the 2nd picture taken from a different distance?
or is it hte same picture
if i take a picture close to your nose i won't be able to see your ears
b/c the angular size is different
the size of the object subtending yoru field of view
angular resolution remains the same
so my eye has one resolution for the left and one for the right, within the same image?
i think you mean angular size
angular resolution is constant, that's what your eye has
that doesn't change
that's just angular size
getting lower than your detector
yep
I did try
sigh
no angular resolution is a function of the thing looking, eye or camera sensor
i think you have this wrong
you're talkinga bout angular size
doesn't look like it
id have to fire a laser along it
because it occupies a larger part of of field of view
it's angular size is larger
precisely
it becomes difficult to discern individual object
i.e. i can't see individual grains of sand but i can still see thebeach
.017 degrees for human eye
but you're using the wrong angle
you need to use the angle that the object occupies in the FOV
not the angle BETWEEN it and something else
what angle
ya that's the wrong part
