Thing is, my brother and I both have been diagnosed as on the autism spectrum, my sister shows signs of it, my father showed signs of it. My mother's side of the family doesn't show signs of autism, despite my mom being fully vaccinated.

So autism is obviously a genetic disorder.

People who think that autism can be caused by vaccines clearly know next to nothing about autism. Its not this completely debilitating disease all of the time. There's different types of autism, which fall under the autism spectrum. One of these being Aspergers syndrome.

Yes. I work in the medical field. Every time I encounter an infant with whooping cough, they aren't vaccinated. I have never encountered a child with whooping cough who was vaccinated.

Yes, I do want to force others what to do because:
1) Anti-vaxxers are putting their own children's lives in danger.
2) They are putting others' children's lives in danger.
3) They are putting elderly's lives in danger.
4) It is blatant child neglect and abuse.
5) It is my job to make sure people don't die and it frustrates me to no end when people refuse to vaccinate their children on the basis that "vaccines are bad."

@AstralSentient I know that, I just generally meant with vaccines. I know some people can't be vaccinated due to medical issues. But if a child is perfectly able to be vaccinated and the parent doesn't vaccinate the child, then that's when I define it as blatant child neglect.

Also, there's this thing that's been happening recently that's been annoying me to no end.

This woman came in to get her kids checked for allergies, and one ended up being allergic to things with strong fragrances, such as perfumes, cologne, etc. Then I mentioned essential oils and I told her to save her money by not buying them anyways.
Yeah it turns out this woman was part of an MLM that sells essential oils. She blew up in my face.

Yeah this one person (divorced couple, kid was on visiting night with his mom) put undiluted tea tree oil in her kid's ear because the kid had an ear infection.

The dad told me what happened when he brought he kid in again. I told him to watch the kid closely for signs of tea tree oil poisoning (tea tree oil is poisonous if swallowed but since it was put in the kid's ear, it was better to be safe than sorry).

@Veritas Immortalis they're not bad, they can help with skin care, but people in MLMs claim it cures depression and other stuff. Some of them use tea tree oil as mouthwash which is stupid (tea tree oil is extremely dangerous if consumed)

Can I just say something about this server? Some of the mods are kind of really hypocritical. This one time I was in here (I left the server at one point), there was this dude, Harry Evett, who was in the lounge vc and there was this very civil discussion about the big bang.
