one argument I see from them is the fact that some vaccines contain aluminum and mercury which are both dangerous

but they're dangerous when on their own

its like saying "sodium explodes in water and chlorine is extremely poisonous so putting them together is dangerous" when it literally just makes sodium chloride aka salt

yeah like if anti-vaxxers were that concerned about like putting bacteria or viruses into their kids via vaccines then you'd think they'd be against cheese
because a lot of cheese is made via the help of bacteria

Okay, so, the thing is, antivaxxers are actually putting others at risk by not vaccinating their kids.

1) Vaccines against almost eradicated viruses such as measles have prevented the viruses from having a chance to really mutate on a large scale due to the fact that next to no one in developed countries was getting the virus. Viruses mutate quickly, so not vaccinating your kid and the measles outbreak starting allows the virus a chance to mutate.

2) There are people who, due to health reasons such as being immunocompromised, can't get vaccinated and rely on herd immunity. If you don't vaccinate your children, you are putting those people's lives at risk.

Also, as someone who was actually diagnosed with autism, it just sickens me when people use my disorder to justify not getting their children vaccinated. To me it just says they would rather want their child dead from a preventable disease rather than having to put in extra work as a parent.
