@Rudi because you have to be very above earth to see it if the earth is too damn big, if an ant is walking on a ball it sees it flat, here’s one expeirment : prepare 2 points , Point B has higher elevation than point A, when sun is setting go to point A and you can see parts of sun already being gone now go to point B and you can see the sun above the horizon
