@Captain Kirk JT what?
@Jay1532 less developed countries such as? any example?
also, what if this couple of jewish people with money decide to lobby for you to get into wars on the other side of the planet?
you don't care how they spend their money... but you'll go against wars that they lobby for, and the system that enables them to do so... ok
but it does say that they have influence in the media...
so... i saw in the announcements that we're supposed to report somebody.... who're we supposed to report? and how do we do that?
@Doctor Anon what about public health issues, like stuff that can become epidemics?
right, but i mean stuff that can become epidemics if left unattended
how do you define who can or cannot pay for it?
although those that are bellow the poverty line certainly cannot afford private healthcare, there are low middle class people that may not be able to afford as well... so what about them?
^this
^this
also some people get paranoid with vetting depending on what you ask...
@Not as Depressed Gaddafi how so you lose members by doing a partnership?
@Not as Depressed Gaddafi who said anything about banning ancap?
@Not as Depressed Gaddafi vetting how? and rebranding to what?
by rebranding to third position do you mean rebranding to [server banned by discord]?
what's that?
STILL exists... pol is gone centipede central is gone the right server is gone... outer heaven is hanging by a thread...
and they weren't even third position... discord is just looking for an excuse...
@Emanon see <#452955204313153556>
me
@Not as Depressed Gaddafi Christianity saved Europe from an islamic invasion before...
you haven't met enough...
out of curiosity, is it illegal to not help someone that suffered a life-threatening medical condition in the u.s?
in their case you can argue that they may have some degree of responsibility in causing it as well... and also they robbed him afterwards... i'm just wondering like, in general
sure, yes
oh, ok... in my country it is, that's why i'm asking if in the u.s it is as well
in Brazil it's 6, 9 (if the person gets severely hurt as a result) and 18 (if the person end up dying) months...
and the "requires it not hurting you personally" is also a thing...
but in most cases all you need to do is call for help...
regarding <#479347111775830017>, does anyone know what's the difference between a classical republic and a modern one?
๐ thank you
what exactly is defined as "civil liberties" and how are they different from your rights?
@campodin and how that differs from your rights? any example?
oh ok good
where i'm from voting is obligatory ๐ข
@Summฤซ Imperator, ๅชใๆฎฟ what's the difference if it is part of the law that they should protect you?
but what's the practical difference?
which of those forms of government have the smallest government?
i feel like decentralized means a less powerful government (which is good) but also a larger government...
yes it is what i'm asking, but won't decentralization make it larger (and therefore have more government expending)?
but for instance, if a state separates in 3 new states, every new state will need all the governing body of a state won't it?
ok, then i guess decentralized is better
if Europe doesn't manage to send a lot of people back... nothing meters, anything they do is palliative...
you shouldn't let them in...
stop them at the border
they are already in mexico...
yeah... why?
answering something someone asked some time ago... i'm just really slow to type...
@Pino Sinatra he was against Brazil accepting refugees from Syria (which is almost a non-issue, since is really hard for any of them to come to Brazil), and he was against the illegal immigration from Haiti... it is a problem we had for some years (ever since we sent military to Haiti for an UN mission) but that's a minor issue, nothing like the U.S. or Europe's migration problem... the only big immigration-related issue that we face right now is the Venezuelan refugees... and he intends to build refuge camps to accommodate them on the state that shares a border with Venezuela, or at least that's the last thing he said about it...
hydroelectric energy is great, the only two problems are that you need to have the kind of rivers that can be used to generate it, and when a drought happen you're gonna have a decrease in energy production...
i type slow
also, i'm answering something someone said yesterday...
so don't worry about it...
@Swiss Cheese yesterday you said that Bolsonaro confiscated anti-fascist stuff from universities... well, no he didn't, he hasn't got into office yet, and he wasn't even elected when that happened... that material was removed because it was considered political propaganda, and that's illegal during election period on public colleges (even, though is hardly ever enforced... and maybe that's one of the reasons why people freaked out, because for once they were forced to follow the law). The reason why "pro-democracy" and "anti-fascist" material (posters, banners, etc) were considered political propaganda was because the same material was, at the same time, characterizing a candidate (Bolsonaro) as anti-democratic and a fascist...
i think daylight saving time is a good idea (even if it doesn't save a lot of energy) because of earth's natural tilt https://www.windows2universe.org/earth/climate/cli_seasons.html
if we don't use it, the days during summer get a lot different from the rest of the year
