Ah ok. Well I was curious if anyone outside of hardcore computer lovers ever had a similar desire for something like that. Because I have felt that the PC industry is very open for desktops but you're pretty limited on laptops.

Well, you see I live out of hotels because of my job. Its pretty hard to lug around a monitor, keyboard, mouse and PC. Not to mention a lot of the hotels I get jammed into tend to have little to no space for a desk or a table.

I mean I don't need 128gb of ram.

Lol. Cloud compute is great. Wifi at hotels are basically nicer versions of dialup.

My company doesn't drop me in amazing hotels.

When I say several I mean like 2 m.2 slots.

I do video and picture work on it and I'm bad about being a power user. Lol. But I only like to have 17inch screens. I'm weird I guess. Lol.

Honesty, I would take a 17 inch, touch screen, and mobile apu with the ability to fold 360.

I was thinking like the 5950x from amd. Lol. Just throttle it down and limit its power draw.

Because I'll find one that has some of the specs I want but then doesn't have a touch screen or is smaller than what I want. Lol.

Compaq doesn't exist anymore. Hp killed off the name and brand. Nothing has a Compaq name or label.

Amd has really been trying hard to get PC makers to build more units with their chips.

I won't upgrade to anything unless it has an amd ryzen 4000 or above. Intel isn't that great on laptops anymore.

I find it odd that they would prefer to use a processor that is so old that they keep finding new exploits and more frequently then amd. I mean that's just silly if you ask me

After all, if you turn over the system every generation or so amd will be using a slightly newer/different core architecture.

Yeah. Its crazy how long Intel sat on their laurels.

I mean don't get me wrong, amd screwed the pooch on the bulldozer era with piledriver and excavator. But they learned a hard lesson and I think lisa sue has done an amazing job guiding amd out of its hole and back into the spotlight. It didn't hurt that Intel screwed them selves.

I wish I had been smart enough to get in on that action. Lol.

What's crazy is that they did it on a shoe string budget for their rnd.

I think navi was a great stepping stone.

Ray tracing is about on par with the 2000 series. Which is not bad considering they never did it before.

I remember my dad using dos and win 3.11 and then 95 and 98. We skipped me and almost skipped 2k. Then xp.

I remember playing a train. Good game.

Also I really loved rrt2 and rrt3. Back in the dark ages of PC gaming where the graphics sucked but the game really made you work your brain.
