In fact, I think my whole family got it, but because of all the information we've seen over the last months, we decided not to go to the hospital or get tested for anything. We just don't trust the system right now, even though we know there are good docs and nurses out there. It sucked majorly, yeah, but having the flu in the past was overall worse imo. We all recovered great at home.

Again, it's absolutely not to discount it existing and that it can indeed be deadly to some folks...but this whole thing has become such a power trip it's almost unreal.

We can't really forget though about what sort of lobbying those companies were/are doing so that government officials comply with what they want, though. So really more government regulations wont do a thing about that if the officials are in someone's pocket. In the end, it's not a regulation issue, it's a moral issue. Lacking strict morals is what allows people to act in ways that are harmful to others, the environment, etc.

My parents homeschooled for a while before I went to public. It's difficult in public because it's an environment that promotes conformity, from my personal experience. Not really encouraged to think like I had been, which was frustrating for me personally at the time. And that was well over a decade now so I cant imagine the climate now...
