I know that the US is edging closer and closer to year-round school, but they've been working toward that for more years than I care to count.

This will also help to ensure that the schools teach what the PARENTS think the students should be taught. Since the vast majority of Parents are actually centrists, this means that if the schools insist on teaching "woke" garbage, they probably won't have very many students. It should go a good distance in getting the schools back on track.

Why haven't the Conservatives come out strong blaming the conditions in Texas on Biden. Everyone knows that had it happened under Trump, Trump certainly would have been blamed. We need to strike back with their same BS to drive the point home!

My biggest concern about homeschooling isn't the lack of uniformity in what is learned. There are guidelines that help keep everyone on the same path. My concern is the lack of social skills that are learned from going to public or private schools. It could be argued that the internet amends that issue, but I disagree.

You can bet that one thing will come from this Texas power issue is that more people, especially in Texas, will be looking at buying a generator soon. From what I've heard, there are none to be had in Texas right now. I bought a generator a few years back. We had an ice storm in November, 2020 that had us without power for nearly a week. I set up the generator to power our refridgerator, the heating system - which is natural gas but still needs electricity to run the fan to push the heat, and a few other items. I also hooked it up to run my PC and our Networking equipment. Oh hell yeah, I'm going to stay online!

I believe that one of the reasons they're pushing the #metoo issue with him isn't JUST to cover up the Nursing Home deaths (and the fact that he DESPERATELY tried to cover them up) but that there are several other Governors who pushed COVID patients into Nursing Homes as well... and got elevated death counts for it too. If he is ousted for the deaths, then the other Governors can be too. It's "damage control" at this point. That's just my "think so" on the matter.

I mean, I can understand being pissed, but damn, just get up and walk away. Killing it seems a bit.... excessive.
