I actually like the map @'Alex and have wondered before when or why history decided to orient modern maps the way they have, it could have equally have turned out the way depicted in the map you shared but some group of people decided on the current orientation. Just curious if there was actual reason behind it, an alterior intent or projection of status maybe (idk am reachin), or if it was just a coin toss moment in history.

There was brief discussion in <#538929818834698260> about why popular earth maps are oriented the way they are. Do FE accept the common map or is the circular photo I see so frequently associated with FE memes etc. an actual representation or alternative map preferred by FE?

Just my own deduction guessing Antarctica would need to be swapped out for Ice Wall anyway but would rather get the facts from a FE rep.

What about national maps? Have you ever traveled by car or rail for vacation/holiday?

What I've learned is there's no definitive model of FE that all agree upon with the exception that it is flat. Some have different understandings of what globers consider celestial bodies to be, what's going on subsurface, other implications relative to religion/philosophy/conspiracy - it's a very diverse community.

Phenomenon can occur without our understanding though right?
