If this is supposed to be an open discussion for people to discourse civilly, then why is everyone getting muted? Just curious, you can mute me for this simple comment. I will just leave this server. But @Flat Earth PhD I mean a literal potato, not a sphere. Can we have an open minded conversation? Or do you have a monopoly on truth?

@Citizen Z if we silence those we do not agree with, then in the end we silence only ourselves. How can we wake anyone when we take away their ability to speak? We have to discourse civilly and a person convinced against their will, is always of the same decision still. So, if someone says something we do not agree with, we simply show them facts, provided with evidence and we allow for them to change themselves.

I have theorized it based off the 13 different countries I have been to. If I could post pictures here I would show you the picture I drew, but it appears this chat is limited and my freedom of speech is non existent.

Ok, here we go.... Let me try and explain this so you can comprehend. I have been to 13 countries, I have flown over the ocean 8 times. I have drove across America from coast to coast 15 times. I have lived in 7 different states and driven through more. So my theory, if you can try to not hold a complete monopoly on truth is, that the entire bottom half of the "potato", "globe","disk" or anything you want to call it is a solid mass of ice, the top half is a floating mesh of water and land mass. The earth does not spin it, rotates and transverses(which create the spinning sensation) through the never ending expansion that is reality.

@Dizaster I agree on the Dome, look at all the interviews with astronauts before 2000. My theory on that is, there are a multitude of "earths" and when we "went" to the moon we punched a hole in the atmosphere.

@Enigma of Boyhood Struggle There is still a core, in my opinion. The entire bottom of the picture I sent you would be Antartica.

@Dizaster my theory continues that when we did that, we also punched a hole in another earths atmosphere.

I personally think* we are a "simulation" of Gods imagination. An expansion of His never ending creation.

There is no gravity in space @Enigma of Boyhood Struggle we are suspended in space. So there is no up or down, just an all around. So if we are on the bottom, we are also on the top, depending on where the top or bottom are.

Also, last night as I observed the sky, which I have thousands of pictures of. I noticed that a star followed the same path as the moon. How is this possible? Why is the sun not in the same location as last year? Why are the stars always the same? Why can I, as I observe a ship sailing into the sea, notice that the top disappears at the horizon? It might not be a sphere, but it clearly has a curve. As I observe a plane in the sky, it should fly in a straight line. This is not the case ever, which to me speaks volumes on my belief system. As Bruce Lee said, "the shortest distance between two points, is always a straight line." So if a plane was to fly from point A to point B, then the path would always be a straight line if the earth was literally flat like paper. But if we had a curvature like a potato, then they would fly in a transverse rotation.

Exactly @Fran no one has a monopoly on truth. My position is simply that I know nothing.

Progress in answers, that is why science never proves anything. The scientific method is constantly evolving as new information is given or found. My position is simple, I am willing to give my life for what I believe. I am a United States Marine.

It is a process, 5 steps.

The method does't change the theory changes.

I feel like majority of people here have never even left the state they live in, let alone the country. I have been to 13 countries, flown across the ocean 8 times and drove from Jacksonville, North Carolina to Utah and back 15 times. I have been in college for 12 years, spent 4 years in hell, I mean the Marine Corps. I have killed dozens of people and I live with the regret of war while I sit here and listen to people silence each other because they don't agree. This whole conversation is pointless.
