like literally lets define what a weapon is
a weapon is any implement used to assault a person or animal, can we agree to that definition?
a rubber mallet is absolutely a weapon if you start attacking people with it, you can't logically deny that
nothing is intrinsicly assaulting people
THANK YOU
now we've come to some clarity
nothing is a weapon by default, it can only be *used* as a weapon
I have a czech military surplus rifle easily capable of downing 20 men, but the most fearsome thing i've ever shot with it is a pumpkin
it is not a weapon
not in the strictest sense
the point is that there is no logical distinction between weapon and non-weapon
so if I kill somebody with, say, a benchrest gun, its a rifle that is used exclusively for high-accuracy target shooting and can't even be weilded as its literally bolted to a table, is it not a weapon?
ugh
that statement is factually untrue
I can name you several dozen guns clearly not designed for lethal use
flare pistols, line guns, bench rifles, etc etc etc
no, but nevertheless they are guns which are not weapons
lol actually no
i have a 37mm flaregun I use an adapter for to shoot shotgun shells
intended use be damned
my point is that even if you make the absurd statement that guns can even be intrinsicly weapons, that not all guns *are* weapons, but even those can be used outside of their intended purpose
its because intended purpose is completely meaningless
i guarantee you that if there were a potato gun attack in the UK they would start doing ID checks for hairspray and piping.
because they're a bunch of eurotrash draconian busybodies who think they can ban everything they don't like out of existence
i love how you're literally defending random ID checks
I can't wait for the EU police of vice and virtue checking ID's at checkpoints and confiscating potatoes
does the word Gestapo have a meaning to you?
man europe really is going down the shitter if this is the line of thought
I obviously wasn't being serious
that being said im genuinely in awe that this dude is unironically defending random ID checks
the "what do you have to hide?" argument in 3, 2, 1...
only if they have reasonable cause to
you cannot define a clear definition between what is any isn't a weapon when you believe anything is always a weapon no matter what
If I laid out a table with dozens of knives of different sizes could you point out to me which are weapons and which are not without running around with a ruler?
I can use non-kitchen knives to assault someone, likewise I could use a KA-BAR to cut my steak, whats the distinction?
***Considered*** a weapon. By what criteria? My feels?
so collective feels.
not actual hard data.
^
a weapon is anything used to assault someone or something. If you can't using it for that purpose than it isn't a weapon.
Its really stupid easy to stab someone with a screwdriver.
Why its made isn't relevant
lol we could easily circumvent your logic by putting "target use only" on all guns
going way way back, what exactly do you find objectionable about american 'gun culture'?
how?
lol again, how?
i think you've been watching too much VICE news my dude
thats like saying britbogs worship tea
its hyperbole
quick poll, who here actually lives in America?
wew lad
someones salty
why are eurotrash lecturing us about how backwards and uncivilized we are?
you guys clearly have the whole avoiding tyranny thing down pat ๐
*when the khmer rouge invade your village and your finally get a job as fertilizer*
you mean antifa?
like, the antifa that was founded in germany?
lol do you genuinely think antifa is a legitimate politcal presense?
they're a couple hundred NEETs from tumblr they are nothing
see i love watching the G20 riots where people are setting fire to cars and everyone looks on helplessly
in america we would just shoot one of them and they'd flee like rats ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ
in big cities with (((gun-free zones))) no, but going house to house burning cars? wouldn't happen.
literally dudes standing on their balconies watching commies burn their cars
and i have absolutely zero sympathy for people lawfully shot while committing arson
to be fair that was a fascist trashcan
rightfully so
i love how europe has a criminal rights movement, thats rich.
like the guy in the UK who shot 2 armed home intruders killing one and is serving a life sentence while the invader got 16 months.
thats totally fair
ill have to find it this was years ago
this is a different case but https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Martin_(farmer)
rights don't come from the government
rights by nature cannot be granted, only denied
no
one second im in a phone call
@Vertig0ne where?
oh lmao
backing up for a minute... no, murder isnt a right because youre violating the rights of another
rights 1. cannot violate the rights of other people and 2. exist in a vacuum exterior to the intervention of others i.e. medical care
self defense is legal because you have a right to self-preservation
in the US this is part of the second amendment and stand your ground laws
although don't get me wrong, there is far more to 2A than self defense
thats because the UK is a nanny state
you have no rights
what little the government lets you do is backed up by nothing at all
if the UK government wanted to simply ignore all your rights and set up a police state there is nothing you could do to stop it
such as?
what are you gonna do, report the police to the police? write a strongly worded letter to your MP?
the patriot act is indefensible yea
the US isnt perfect
you vastly overestimate how much americans agree with the decisions of their politicians.
plenty care its just the corporations money is louder than our words
net neutrality is like over 90% support in the US but its still very contentious in congress
because the telecom corporations bought everyone out
and replace them with who? the problem is we have a de facto oligarchy
this is why the mainstream media hates trump, he isn't one of them
trump is a reaction to democucks and rethuglicans being two sides of the same corrupt coin
whether you like or dislike trump you can't deny he was a reaction to the corporate oligarchy
of course
TUNNEL SNAKES>Trump cobras > Clinton vipers
