I have a question. From what I’ve read two brown eyed people both with the recessive blue eyed gene have a 25% chance of having a blue eyed baby. One blue eyed parent and one brown eyed parent (with recessive blue eyed gene) have a 50% chance of having a blue eyed baby.

But what chance does a baby born with brown eyes to two brown eyed parents (both with the recessive blue eyed gene) have of also inheriting the recessive blue eyed gene? Do recessive genes always carry through to the off spring? How many generations can it last before it is eliminated? Neither of my parents have blue eyes but I do.

Does anyone know if recessive genes are ever eliminated or do they always get passed down even if they don’t show up in their off spring for many generations?

Most mixed black and white girls definitely don’t look full black. Far longer, curlier hair, far lighter skin, coloured hair etc. if white genes were recessive then mixed kids would look exactly like their black parent but this is rarely the case, they seem to be pretty evenly split imo

I get you, but generally mixed people I see look pretty evenly split. I do notice a huge difference when their non white parent does have some european ancestry tho, bc as you said you need coloured eye genes on both sides, other wise the kids will have brown eyes
