reading through it, it's... pretty fucking insane
yes
apparently the main claim that Monica had brought against him internally (or at least that Sony was investigating at the time) was that, 6 years ago, Monica signed her name on a jelly bean, and gave it to Vic, who ate it and joked that he "ate Monica"
that's.... it
the other 2 claims Sony was investigating were supposed "inappropriate conduct" with 2 unnamed fans (which seems suuuuuper flimsy, since there's no evidence that there WAS any such conduct and Vic denies it completely) and a consensual kiss between Vic and a female friend
then Jamie, Monica, and Monica's fiance went ballistic on twitter and started the kickvic hashtag
ha
Haberkorn opening the stream is great
also that a lot of younger men are living at home with their families after college due to crushing student loan debt (as one of such said people, I have at least a bit of an idea about that >.>)
though I suppose that ties in to the not having a high income, too
>my home is full of skulls
Obviously false advertisement, if he only had 3 skulls in his house
holy shit, that's messed up
that's what I find so messed up. He got expelled simply for _trying_ to buy one. Like, at any point in this process, the school could have informed him "we do not allow people to store weapons on campus, please do not buy this, or if you do, store it off campus"
"they resent her charisma"
uh... yeah
sure
charisma
something like that
I guess being decent looking and dumber than a box of rocks is charisma... somehow
(in regards to republican's feelings on AOC, to clarify the context)
(this is literally what he says)
"And I am painfully aware that the male Fox commentariat nurtures its sickly obsession with Ms. Ocasio-Cortez partly because they resent her cleverness, charisma and moral vitality"
which is.... beyond moronic
she's not clever, she's not charismatic
and she's literally under investigation for several issues related to how her team handled their campaign money
and how they got it
I'd agree with that. And to be clear, I'm fine with that
I actually would WANT NYT to publish both, as long as they make it clear that it's an opinion piece
because then we can look at his stupid fucking arguments and know that he's a moron
and same for publishing the ramblings of a literal neo-nazi
oh, yeah, definitely. Regardless of the theoretical I'd LIKE to see, we already all know why the NYT published this
I think my first time getting chewed out by an SJW (or a proto-SJW, I guess, since this was back in the late 2000s?) was when I dared suggest that maybe, just _maybe_ women already had legal equality, and that while there were things that they were disadvantaged in, men had the same thing in other fields, and it was due to a difference of biology or interests
of course, I was back in high school at the time, and hadn't really been heavily exposed to the MRM yet, so admittedly my arguments were pretty basic, and not properly fully thought out
but the vehement backlash I got made me stop and go "wait, maybe I'm on to something. There's no reason to get THAT insanely defensive about this stuff unless you're not confident in your own beliefs...."
ha
I had a high school friend that went INSANELY social justicey
(went from "I'm a vegan now, but don't worry; you'll never hear me talk about it" to constantly talking about why veganism was the best thing ever. Then went "I'm a furry now , but you'll never hear me talk about it"... to talking about why furries were the best thing ever. To "BTW, I'm trans, and I'm going to make ALL of my posts about it from now on")
and then she made a facebook post after the 2016 election blaming everyone that just _didn't vote for hillary_
and talked about how it was our fault for trump getting elected, and how she would unfriend and block anyone that didn't vote hillary
I called her on her bullshit and told her to unfriend me
she never did - I got rid of my account a few years later first
I've met a lot
some are great people
some are fucking insane
most of the ones that are great are genuinely trans, and the ones that are insane are usually transtrender types
or they got sucked in by the trans lobby group and buy their bullshit
I know... let's see... like 4 people from high school that transitioned after high school
one of whom is actually a pretty big trump supporter, apparently
and... 3 or 4 that transitioned in college
and then I knew a few from my dad's group of friends when I was a kid
(I grew up in Ithaca NY, so unsurprisingly there are a lot of varied people there. Also, my dad is generally pretty involved in local AIDS awareness stuff, so he tends to know a lot of trans and gay people)
I kinda want to get a MAGA hat and go to my 10 year
just to give the finger to everyone there
I don't even particularly love trump. I think he's a fine president, but he's got some big flaws too
well, I get to be the very picture of a person who wasted money on college, so I can't do that, unfortunately
pro tip to any high schoolers that might be reading this
don't go to college for video game development
even if the program is heavy on programming (which mine was) it's better to just go into computer science or networking
actually, most of the people from my program went on to be programmers
it's just, they went into programming in places like the medical software field
yep
I ended up in technical support
but at the very least, it's networking/IT shit, so it's not brainless
we actually had some insanely successful people from our program
one guy went on to be an assistant producer at bungee
another went into some special program being run by sid meyer (and he graduated like 2 years early or something crazy)
most definitely
honestly, I think the only real thing I got out of it was connections
and admittedly, I probably wouldn't have ended up in my current position without one of those connections (since it was a friend that recommended my previous job to me, which got me to where I am now)
but still, was quite a waste
that's a smart idea
I'm pretty happy with where I am now - working at a small company and have impressed the management team a lot since I started - but the main thing is that I currently live in NY state. And I _REALLY_ don't want to live in NY state at this point
the president of my company is pretty old fashioned
he doesn't like having people working out of office - believes that having an office atmosphere and coworker friendships is important
I think he's right, TBH
at the very least, for a smaller company like mine. A bigger company probably would be better off with people working remotely
I worked my last job remotely, and it ended up being pretty hellish, because I literally never spoke with anyone outside of my family (living at home to save on costs, and because my dad needs the money from charging me 'rent' at the moment)
the main issue was that my computer is right next to my bed, so I'd wake up at noon (worked a 3-11 shift) and roll out of bed to get on my computer for the day
spend some time doing w/e, then start work without moving at all
makes you go a little crazy after a while
especially when you're dealing with system administrators that know fuck all about what they're doing
and get paid 3-4x as much as you
I literally once had to teach a guy how to install Java
and this was a system admin at a government contracted company
at my current job, I primarily work with print shop faculty, so I can at least laugh off them not knowing what the hell they're doing on a technical level ๐
I've been picking up networking as I go currently
took a single class for it in college, but working with printers kind of makes understanding networking to at least a small extent necessary
at least on a basic level, especially since our company controls all of the servers for our software
I don't think I've ever heard someone address another person as "friend" like that card suggests, except to be as snarky and sarcastic as possible
no, the obvious one is to do what pol has been doing for a while and make it "alt-right"
meme it to stand for "proud of Caucasians" instead or something
he has fucking human teeth
like, jesus christ, what were the people that pitched this thinking?
also, let's ignore that women suffer from the most domestic abuse almost entirely because of female on female domestic violence (missed what RuRu said. Ignore me)
even WITH that domestic violence against women vs. men is close to 55:45 or so
and it also ignores that most domestic abuse is reciprocal
thank god I don't have a twitter account
I see the stupid shit you guys post on here, and that's about the extent of my interaction with twitter
that's the real answer
