The Suprun issue could have been killed immediately by the Texas GOP. They have the right to replace him, especially since he has declared he intends to violate his pledge.

If the EC deadlocks, or no one get 270, it goes to the House and Senate. Theoretically, they could vote in Pence as VP in the House and someone else for pres. They could even vote Pence for Pres. in the senate, ignoring Trump altogether. And it is all Constitutional.

You don't need a CA to,fix the flaws. It can be done through the individual,states by awarding the EC votes proportional instead of the all/nothing system.

It is part of the powers reserved to the states. It is why Main had 2 votes got to Hillary and 1 to Trump. The states decide how their votes are apportioned. Ergo, each state could Mae that change without the requirement for a CA. In most cases, it would only take a simple majority, not even a 2/3 majority in the states.

Mainly, it has to do with the cost of a max security prison, the appeals process, etc. A supermax prison is more cost effective when factoring in average life expectancy and even medical costs.
