Hunting
Open fields? None except for birds
Me and Swampdragon do some duck and dove hunting
Agreed. There are pros and cons
It’s a very multi purpose hunting weapon, anything from deer with slugs to rabbits and squirrels with 8 shot
ye I thought so
Hell yeah
Some say rifles are better overall than a shotty though
thought I'd also keep a 22lr for small critters
just due to the cheap and plentiful ammo
Overall yeah, if you’re looking at a unitasker
I don't mind excuses to buy more guns. Haha
Can’t fault you there
IF I had to choose one long gun only it would for sure be a rifle
It'd be an AR for sure
Yep. Plentiful parts, easy to find ammo.
And if I could bend the one gun rules a little, I'd have a 5.56 upper and a 300 upper
I’ve been partial to AKs again recently
Mostly cus my draco is surprisingly effective as fuck
I’m not an ak guy myself but I always love shooting them lol
Compared to my 11.5 AR where it’s a noticeable drop
draco+brace has been awesome, my new favorite gun for sure
And it’s all Romanian compared to a wasr
Speaking of AKs
For some reason I had a thing for 5.45 at a time
But seeing the 7N6 ban and seeing that 7.62x39 has more of a "punch"
I did too when it was cheap
I'm leaning more towards 7.62
I still have a lot of 7N6 for the tantal
I’d deff go 7.62 now
ye
When 5.45 was basically free it was awesome
It’s still a great round IMO but ammo availability and price just isn’t there anymore 🤷♂️
Ballisitcally how does 5.45 compare to 5.56 anyway? 🤔
Fairly similar
With green tip 5.56 being readily available and 7N6 not
It wouldn’t make sense to buy a 74 for anything other then a range toy
Steel cased 308 is almost as cheap as 5.45 now
Yeah since we don't live in eastern europe or russia
It makes more sense go with a caliber that's pretty much standard in our homeland
