Hey, I'm new to this chat, I was looking to learn medical once I finish college and was wondering if it's worth it to pay for an EMT certification course

Human services, it's just a bullshit major to open up a lot of fields, mainly looking to be a LEO

I was thinking about paramedics but I'm really not looking to do 2 years of classes for it so that's the big turn off

Is it bad that the only body armor I currently own is 4 level 3A plates?

I carry daily as well as all of the medical I know how to use from basic things I've learned

What I carry is a leather back civilian bag, it's meant to go from bag to vest in a SHTF scenario, I keep medical in the front pouch where it's easily accessible, I feel like it's overkill to carry anymore with all the books and other shit I have on me all the time

Needles scare the shit out of me honestly, wether it's sticking someone or being stuck, I fucking hate giving blood but do it every chance I get

I'm good with blood, just something about needles, feeling it in my vein when I'm giving blood makes me want to vomit, I've been in situations where I've had to deal with someone covered in basically every bodily fluid but I still can't do needles

That's the shit they use for the rabies vaccine I'm pretty sure

What can I add to this to immediately improve it, I've got a TQ with a metal windlass, super glue, tampons (really nice if you've got a bloody nose, just cut a piece off and stick it in your nose) an ace bandage, a boo boo kit, and a trauma pack

This is the trauma pack, keep in mind I'm not "formally trained" so some things aren't available to me, but I have been shown how and when to use all of this by a couple EMTs

If I'm taking a bullet I'm not really worried about supplies as much as getting the fuck out, I live in a stupid state that makes it damn near impossible to get a pistol permit, let alone no restrictions on your carry so there's no fighting back, it's more of a put on the vest and run, the vest is in case I do catch a bullet while running, the med shit is for if I walk up on something or some other shit happens during the day to me

That's true, I was looking into getting at least a ceramic plate for the front

Im trying to keep the weight of the bag down, ceramic is less than steel, and I'm not looking to catch bullet fragments

Does the spall coating actually work, I saw some reviews that the coating reduced it a bit but over all still let a lot of the fragments go

Alright, I may look into it, the extra weight may be worth it to keep the bulk down, the bag does get pretty bulky when I load it up with my daily needs

Yeah, I would keep a 3A on whichever side I don't have the steel plate, it serve as some protection at the very least if I absolutely need it

In the areas I frequent I worry more about handguns than anything, there's a lot of pistol related violent crime

But it would be nice to have the extra protection

Thanks for the heads up on Condor, going to do a little price checking, might step up to $200 if needed but I'm just trying to be ready for anything and get some real gear to work out in without breaking the bank, trying to save for a duplex so I can get some passive income

Just did, it seems like it may be a little bulky but also seems like it would hold up a bit more to the basic wear and tear of working out In it than some of the other ones

I kinda figured that, I'm not too worried about the quality as long as it will withstand the bouncing from me running and other stuff, as well as provide a little cushion until I get used to the feel, I've never worn one before

I made a bomb ass spiked hot chocolate recipe for my girlfriend and I

4 cups milk
1 cup confectioners sugar
3tbspns cocoa powder
1/4 pound chocolate

Over heat: whisk in sugar until dissolved, then same with Cocoa powder, once dissolved drop to low heat and slowly add chocolate whisking constantly till melted

Add alcohol of your choice, I chose some Jim Beam and a little Bailey's, she had Just Bailey's
