I may only be an EMT-B technically but I literally worked with a PA everyday and we had a class everyday

2020-01-16 15:15:59 UTC

He left us like 2 months ago and we’re waiting on a new PA

2020-01-16 15:16:23 UTC

I am about to have my Bachelors in nursing.

2020-01-16 15:17:15 UTC

Hell yea man! That’s pretty rad. I sent a link to an intense 19-day course to get your EMT-B certification

2020-01-16 15:17:49 UTC

Emt-b is so East

2020-01-16 15:17:53 UTC

Easy

2020-01-16 15:18:19 UTC

Someday I’ll scan my Whiskey handbook that tells everything you really need to know on trauma

2020-01-16 15:18:38 UTC

Whiskey handbook?

2020-01-16 15:18:54 UTC

So my MOS is 68W aka 68 whiskey

2020-01-16 15:19:03 UTC

Ah

2020-01-16 15:19:19 UTC

The Whiskey handbook is pretty much trauma medicine we learned in whiskey phase of our training

2020-01-16 15:21:08 UTC

I like whiskey whiskey

2020-01-16 15:26:21 UTC

So do I

2020-01-16 15:26:25 UTC

I like bourbon

2020-01-16 16:09:51 UTC

@MulberryMojo its cool its not really combat related but could be good for refuges and wounded

2020-01-16 16:16:27 UTC

Yea I’ll keep it anyways! I plan on printing both the material you sent and the ranger handbook that was sent. Can’t ignore some good info!

Bloody

2020-01-17 12:32:33 UTC

What can I add to this to immediately improve it, I've got a TQ with a metal windlass, super glue, tampons (really nice if you've got a bloody nose, just cut a piece off and stick it in your nose) an ace bandage, a boo boo kit, and a trauma pack

2020-01-17 12:33:58 UTC

This is the trauma pack, keep in mind I'm not "formally trained" so some things aren't available to me, but I have been shown how and when to use all of this by a couple EMTs

I’ve got a needle and thread in my kit in’s case I need to give stitches

Small sewing kit I picked up after ripping my pants at work one day

2020-01-17 12:35:13 UTC

Ass to knee

2020-01-17 12:36:15 UTC

I may pick one of those up

2020-01-17 12:36:48 UTC

Also it's all packed into this bag that has 4 LV 3A panels in it

2020-01-17 12:41:49 UTC

If I'm taking a bullet I'm not really worried about supplies as much as getting the fuck out, I live in a stupid state that makes it damn near impossible to get a pistol permit, let alone no restrictions on your carry so there's no fighting back, it's more of a put on the vest and run, the vest is in case I do catch a bullet while running, the med shit is for if I walk up on something or some other shit happens during the day to me

2020-01-17 12:44:34 UTC

That's true, I was looking into getting at least a ceramic plate for the front

2020-01-17 12:49:09 UTC

Im trying to keep the weight of the bag down, ceramic is less than steel, and I'm not looking to catch bullet fragments

2020-01-17 12:53:29 UTC

Does the spall coating actually work, I saw some reviews that the coating reduced it a bit but over all still let a lot of the fragments go

2020-01-17 12:57:33 UTC

Alright, I may look into it, the extra weight may be worth it to keep the bulk down, the bag does get pretty bulky when I load it up with my daily needs

2020-01-17 13:02:13 UTC

Yeah, I would keep a 3A on whichever side I don't have the steel plate, it serve as some protection at the very least if I absolutely need it

2020-01-17 13:09:22 UTC

In the areas I frequent I worry more about handguns than anything, there's a lot of pistol related violent crime

2020-01-17 13:09:40 UTC

But it would be nice to have the extra protection

2020-01-17 13:15:36 UTC

And that's straight from AR500

2020-01-17 13:20:43 UTC

Thanks, I'm going to look into it, probably will pick one up, especially because steel doesn't need to be replaced every 5 years unlike soft armor

2020-01-17 14:12:17 UTC

I'm kinda hesitant to buy body armor second hand

2020-01-17 14:47:24 UTC

Lightly used. Selling cuz the original owner passed away <:Okie_Dokie:661060257363001344>
