Anyone got good book recommendations for Chinese politics?
Well one guy called me a retard because I asked for a source
>wikipedia is kike propaganda
>literally posts a YouTube channel that makes Hitler fan videos as a source
>then posts "thefuhrerbunker" as another source
I posted more than wikipedia and the guys source even confirmed what I was saying but "kike propaganda "still
Oh yeah I made this my name a long time ago and never changed it
Anyone have good chinese books to understand modern politics
I mean current politics in China. Y'know that insider shit. I've got some books, but want to know if there's more. It will be hard me not knowing chinese though
I was reading Richard McGregor
The Party: The Secret World of China's Communist Rulers
This was supposed to give some info on the "Jiang faction" thay I saw people crying about on some chats
Think it's best to just switch straight to the one you sent?
@Deleted User I plan to but didn't know which would be best to start with. Probably doesn't matter though
The guo wengui stuff I read recently really motivated me to want to study the politics itself more closely(or what you can see of it)
That's the initial feeling I had that the cia was behind it. The timing before the 2017 party conference(?) Is too suspicious, but it is still very interesting
Any good books on Japanese as it stands now? Not history, but recent politics.
@Trestkie the latter but I'm more of a sinoboo
This book by Cheng Li is a pretty rough read. I started to skip around once I got to the Education chapter. I am now reading about more about Factions. Very interesting stuff. Definitely didn't think abpout this aspect of very differing factions oddly
Wew from cheng li's book. The Hu camp seems to have the younger generation of the party locked up heavily. This next decade will be very interesting
Yeah I just read their educational background for the Hu camp. That isn't a good setup to run a nation. I'm excited to read the three principles of the people if it helps to get a better understanding. This Ching Li book is very informative for learning about the government structure and current positions of the government, but it still feels like that insider feel to get a better grasp of the society/governing society is missing. I guess that is difficult to do with something as opaque as the Chinese government though. His book isn't trying to do that either and it succeeds in what it is trying. I am just starting the Protege section now
Thank you very much for these book recommendations
I too am anti identity politics
But I don't think I'd be declared as a lefty. I'm pretty socially and somewhat economically liberal
I personally dislike discussing ideologies and rather would talk topics
What's your ideology ? @gronkt
National socialism is pretty shitty
You have to discuss each form of communism if you want to discuss communism, especially if you are a national socialist. I hear "national socialism isnt socialism!" so much
I'm just saying a natsoc cant play the special ideology card while not allowing communists to also
Also China has a lot of technology and is rapidly advancing it while being run by the Communist Party
>you cant escape the joo discussions
You natsocs are pretty retarded at the same time though
For instance let's look at the recent CNN fiasco. A lot of people wanted to use it to attack CNN's advertisers and put pressure on them to drop CNN. This is a very smart idea and could potentially weaken a political enemy.
NATSOCs on the other hand wanted to use it to bring attention to the Jew meme that the guy made. This is a very stupid idea and would kill the movement in its entirety right there
I don't deny that Jews have a lot of power, especially when considering how small they are. I think it is a weakness to focus ALL of your attention ALL of the time on them
At least do something with that energy to go after Jews if you really hate them so much. Research their groups, etc. Then bring that information and I'd love to hear it, but to just hear complaining about the jews nonstop is annoying
China is a weird form of capitalism
The Communist Party does I mean. No company can be powerful in China without their approval and oversight
tfw most of my ancestry comes from holland
I'm not too sure about the Netherlands politics, but in the USA local elections are where it counts big
Like you see Texas people pushing against laws constantly.
Local elections in the USA are so important
The reason the right wing has a hold is because the left's voter base doesn't vote in them kek
I just mean going out and voting in the local elections
Sure they all fall under the same party, but some of them lean further away
They affect other things though
for instance we(Texas) just had our state supreme court rule against gay marriage in a sort
It will go to the USA supreme court and hs another chance to change it. If Kennedy steps down and Republicans put in another judge of their choosing. Could we see Gay marriage rolled back?
That all started in a local court
You are absolutely correct @Seedle
We will see a Caliphate in Europe
White nationalism will never take hold in the usa
Why are these memes invading a lefty pol server
The picture spamming is pretty annoying
But why would you come to a random commie server and spam
Both are retarded things to do
So is there a discussion or are you just going to spam meme graphs?
@sorestree- SD kek this is true. The Neo nazis try to derail every political discussion to spam talking points on things they don't even understand
>they cant discuss anything outside of memes 😆
It's my social ideology, but economically I am somewhat of a free market communist
It's the ideology of real men
It's just what comes with the hijab that is oppression
Women in islam are absolutely oppressed. To deny this would be insane
>let them figure their own stuff out
>giving the middle east the opportunity to come together
Even though it is a small chance we should crush them and divide their nations up into small nations with no power instead
It's LARPing, it's what you neo nazi's are good at
It's a childish ideology born out of emotional rage
You can read history to get a good representation of national socialists if you don't like my view of them
I've talked to so few nazis who have any clue what is going on in the world. They consider any sources that contradict their infographs kike propaganda too
@sorestree- SD No I'm on another server that's filled with nazis of all ages
>disagree with the group think
That and /pol/ are what I have to base my opinion of neo nazis on
If you know someone is a nazi irl then they're stupid as fuck
Falling for the ideology meme is a meme
@Firefly /pol blamed everything on jews
I talked to a neonazi who blamed the Jews for the Greek debt crisis
i can tell you this was one of the serious nazis
EU isn't to blame for the Greek debt crisis
To get an idea of why GREECE is fully to blame. You can look up their average wages, welfare spending, pension spending, and every other social program out there
There's more than just that, but you will get the idea from that alone
Communism also thrives in shitty falling countries
The way the USA defeated communism in the Asia Pacific was to build the economies
I don't follow ideologies or spend time reading about them
I don't care about either of them. Well I didn't care about abortion, but hearing some liberals talk about it really disgust me tbh
I can't remember what the charts were for the Greece academic journal I read, but it was similar to Spain. Their spending was crazy. I remember wages as one part, but this could be from the boost
I saw in a documentary that the greek government never even collected all the taxes. This is hard to believe a government doing this
Being in the EU hurt them *after* the crisis
The problem is their fault though
Excessive spending like idiots. Ireland did the same
I read a lot about each european crisis but i cant remember too well atm
I like Lee Kuan Yew's idea where people aged 40-65 with children should have 2 votes
Democracies allow people to feel like they're voting someone new in without realizing that person is owned by the same groups
I guess it is a stable way though
Democracies today are extremely corrupt too
It's just legalized corruption
Had he taken charge at this time or was he the end of the republic?
Their reliance on slaves really fucked em good
Let's be honest, the romans were technologically shit too
They relied too heavily on slaves so they didn't advance their technology. It's a large reason they got wrecked in the end
They did have technology but they didn't continue to advance on it because of their reliance on slaves
I think they were pretty advanced still though. Cement wasn't rediscovered for a long time after the western side fell right?
USA is pretty amazing just admit it
It's a constantly changing culture
Read this book and tell me how it is(im interested in reading it, but reading too much china atm)
This actually sounds like an interesting book.
American Nations: A History of the Eleven Rival Regional Cultures of North America
>its on the 2017 stratfor reading list, but it came out in 2012
Yeah and it is on the Stratfor suggested reading list. They usually have pretty good quality stuff put out
America HAD bee n pretty good at assimilation i think
It's so crazy that it's hard to believe, but I will take your word
English is the official language
we have no official language (at the federal language)
English is still the language though
That's actually an interesting insight Lee Kuan Yew gave on China. If they don't give up their hold onto Chiense it will hurt them in terms of foreign skilled workers coming to China
I'm looing up American culture and seeing pictures of tacos and "diversity" is one of them
We just need to quit being pussies
Do you want a white ethnostate?
Immigration has its strengths if done properly, but it unfortunately isn't happening
Good representation of Chinese citizens? Anyone read it?
Post good Chinese youtubes/podcasts. I know of "The Little Red Podcast" and that's it
