Wait, for now. There's a chance the country may unfuck itself, but it's best to be prepared. Build some pride, have a common ground to rally to. It's likely time and natural attrition will take care of a lot. If california actually breaks away, it'll set off a chain reaction.

Add in the likelyhood of martial law in places like detroit or chicago if things get any worse, and it's not so much breaking away that is an issue, but just keeping together during the breakdown.

I'm a author, actually...i'm a little nervous about saying what, but i do have a bit of following, and i'm not exactly new to the wring game. That said, having something published would be...unreal. It's funny, wide used to be the standard "let's all get along" kinda puff head. Now, she feels pride in being who we are, and just rolls her eyes at each new scandal and march of progress. We joke that basically what we want from life is Harvest Moon, with wifi. A nice little community that helps eachother without being up eachother's ass too much, has enough luxury stuff to be pleasant without being too showy, and encourages self-sufficiency. Silly that something like that is a mad, derided dream.

Yeah...grow and raise crops and critters, trade or sell it for cash or other stuff, put on local festivals. Know you can let your kids outside to play. Have friends and family willing to help, willing to be a real community. Let your children grow up knowing that hard work is rewarded. How long since that's been a thing?

It wasn't always like how it is. We used to just...do things. Want honey? Go find bees. Need a chair? Fucking build one, or find a buddy who knows, and trade with him. It's amazing seeing that we didn't always need a nanny over us making sure we were all cared for. Stay with me now, but we used to actually take care of ourselves! Even when we started up with factories and cities, we still had a community that actually meant something beyond a buzzword.

We used to let our kids play. We let them go out and roam around with their fellows, to go to other homes and the woods and fields. It's because we trusted eachother. We knew our fellows, our friends and kin, and knew they'd be safe. We used to care for our old and sick, because they were ours, and it's what we did. You run the man next door some bread and soup when he's feeling low, and when your tv antenna busts, he comes by with a ladder and a welding torch.

We used to support eachother, we didn't need all the oversight, the laws and the regulations and the structure. We helped eachother because it was the right damn thing to do. We let people in...but slowly, carefully, in small drips and drops. If they don't mesh...then they don't mesh. Now we have to have all this structure to force everyone to get along, because otherwise we'll try and be kind and neighborly, and our new diverse fellows will bleed us dry.

Like i said...Harvest Moon with wifi, that's all I really want.

I think a key point should be community. Bind together, help eachother out, that sort of thing. If we can make ourselves more connected, both here and in the world, it'll help make everything stronger overall. Lend what aid you can, and ask for it when needed. Guide people who wander, bring the message of faith, family, strength and the like to those who can hear it.

Easy stuff, get people together for a chat, hang out, that sort of thing, build trust and community. Once you find solid people, reach out. They got a car busted up, you have a socket set and free time, reach out. That kind of help and help alike community is both strong and resistant to outside buggery. Get people liking eachother, and they'll be more likely to open up or even listen about their ideology.

Moderate the message, so that when people hear, it makes sense. people have a VERY knee-jerk reaction to Nazi...well, anything, so you have to sort of chop it up with things that can be swallowed. Gentle, small, that sort of thing. It's not that i hate any race, really, i just like to be around folks i can trust. I'd rather be around people who i feel comfortable letting my kids play around unsupervised then people who i think are nice who don't even speak the language!

I know it works because it's what happened to me.

We make tiny seed crystals of white, productive, strong communities. As it grows, people will naturally say "hey, what's up with that?" and gravitate. Two becomes four and all that, and suddenly a brisk community of mutual trust, faith, and interest blooms. From there, it's all time. It's not that i wanna make someone a nazi, i just think that if nobody else is going to look after us, then we need to start doing it ourselves! and we've learned, all of us, that those outside our "tribe" don't get along with those inside. We tried to let them in, and detroit happened.

Remember, we have to convert normies if this is gonna go anywhere.

What kills me is how the hell things shifted to what you consume being more important, rather then what you produce. Like...how does that happen? How is it fashionable to shit on someone who can make shoes from leather and nails, yet someone who comments on entertainment media ends up international news?

I want to be outraged and unbelieving of that, but i've seen the inner city. God almighty. I think that may be part of this, getting media out. More people would likely hold to the old ways, faith, family and work if they didn't feel like freaks because of it. Not saying we start a tv channel, but radio broadcasts have always been the home of people going against the grain.

Here's hoping. If people rediscover the joys of listening to the radio at night, we might be on to something...

I know it's a fool's hope. Still, i think if people found out the deep sense of fulfillment that comes from bantering with a friend or two while music and off-center politics waft from a shitty radio, it'd go a long way to waking people up that maybe this whole social network driven existence is a bit for the birds.

I think that's the other big thing...we're connected, but more isolated then ever. We need to get out, walk to nearby homes, and do shit together, and if not together, at least in the same general sphere of existence. Not saying we all gotta go and join a commune, but we used to be strong communities because we...well, we were communities.

I say hell, we got shit all else to do, let's go look at it. Maybe it gets fixed, maybe not, but it's different then, say, this. We're talking, and a community, and that's great...but physical should not be understated.

@Andrew Williams i'm the same fucking way. I know of a few folks, mainly because they have kids and they're like me, nutters who still feel community means something. Everyone else around where i live is...stand-offish, to say the least.

I think that's one of the other things that sets us apart. We can rip in to eachother, state by state, city by city, for whatever reason, and REALLY put some heat behind it...and then just go on like it's no big deal. Because it fucking isn't a big deal. Head to your average collage campus, or nice, modern, progressive city, and if you call someone a fuckstick in passing conversation and you'd likely end up with state appointed niceness classes.

We are a oppressed minority. We're just not exotic enough. we're just flyover hillbillies, who cares about them, right? It's so...galling. We're the ones who make things, to do and build, or at least we were, and that makes us classless trash. Because we have scarred hands and dirty mouths, we're human garbage, but if someone straps on a wig and hacks their dick off, they're the light of the future. We pray facing the heavens, and try to keep our families safe and happy with us, and that makes us backward, close minded degenerates. Yet if we did the same facing mecca, the media can't fall to their knees fast enough.

And over it all titter the ironic beard wearing men and empowered demigendered women who can't signal fast enough on how progressive and strong and upright they are between forging new hashtags. Yet a man who can build a shotgun from some tubes of metal, a block of wood and some hand tools is a useless hick.

To get back a little bit to where i started, we need to be strong together. Even if it's just playing video games over a network, sharing books or memes, it doesn't matter, just that little bit can be the start. From there grows trust. And, to dive right into the water, trusting and working with your fellow man makes you a bad, bad goy.

If you can depend on your fellows and family for things like, say, food, shelter, aid and even care for the sick and elderly, why do you need a complex nannystate to do it for you? If you can make for yourself, why do you need to buy the state approved prepackage goods? I'm not saying I hate america, i really don't, and i hope and pray it can unfuck itself, but we've gotten so whipped up that we need to be coddled and cared for it's just pathetic. We're some of the last states with any kind of real ability to make our own way, who still remember. It's why i'm here, even if this shit all falls apart.

It's heartening to know that there's others out there, truly. I've been feeling slowly more insane the more i question what it is the world seems to want me to become. Even this small collection of bad goys is very heartening.

Imagine going back to letting kids play outside. Where you could walk around your neighborhood, say hi, even drop in for a visit if you wanted. Where you could plant a garden without getting a license. Where you don't have to worry about keeping windows and doors closed up because you don't know who or what might peek in, or worse. Where, if you wanted privacy, if you wanted to just close up and be alone for a bit, people left you the fuck alone, rather then trying to pry in to why you're doing that, what you're hiding. It's such simple stuff, but if i started touting this stuff in public tomarrow, i'd likely make the news, and not for any good reason.

It's not, really. It's happening faster and faster. Nostalgia makes everything sweeter, sure, but I remember just a few years ago, you didn't have to worry about so much. Now, if you bump into the wrong person on the street, you could get beaten up and told to apologize for being a bigot. it's insane.

Out in the boonies of the midwest it's not changed much, but the closer you get to the cities and such, it shows. Like...I remember when detroit was functional. Always a rough town, sure, but you could walk around and not worry. They had culture still, some sense of dignity. Now...not so much.
