The (((media))) popularizes whatever practice fits the narrative.

2017-07-29 00:59:41 UTC

I want to be outraged and unbelieving of that, but i've seen the inner city. God almighty. I think that may be part of this, getting media out. More people would likely hold to the old ways, faith, family and work if they didn't feel like freaks because of it. Not saying we start a tv channel, but radio broadcasts have always been the home of people going against the grain.

2017-07-29 01:00:33 UTC

That's exactly why I started Generation Zyklon. The voice of truth must come from the next generation.

2017-07-29 01:01:23 UTC

Here's hoping. If people rediscover the joys of listening to the radio at night, we might be on to something...

2017-07-29 01:01:34 UTC

that wont happen

2017-07-29 01:01:39 UTC

no way in hell

2017-07-29 01:05:05 UTC

I know it's a fool's hope. Still, i think if people found out the deep sense of fulfillment that comes from bantering with a friend or two while music and off-center politics waft from a shitty radio, it'd go a long way to waking people up that maybe this whole social network driven existence is a bit for the birds.

2017-07-29 01:06:36 UTC

I think that's the other big thing...we're connected, but more isolated then ever. We need to get out, walk to nearby homes, and do shit together, and if not together, at least in the same general sphere of existence. Not saying we all gotta go and join a commune, but we used to be strong communities because we...well, we were communities.

2017-07-29 01:07:45 UTC

depends on your area

2017-07-29 01:08:13 UTC

@rustpoet I wish communities were tighter-knit. I don't know the names of any of my neighbors.

2017-07-29 01:08:41 UTC

We sit and smoke a cig, listen to some nutter bitch about the state congress between bouts of songs from twenty years ago. You bitch about your shitass car, something wrong with it. I say hell, we got shit all else to do, let's go look at it. Maybe it gets fixed, maybe not, but it's different then, say, this. We're talking, and a community, and that's great...but physical should not be understated.

2017-07-29 01:10:14 UTC

@Andrew Williams i'm the same fucking way. I know of a few folks, mainly because they have kids and they're like me, nutters who still feel community means something. Everyone else around where i live is...stand-offish, to say the least.

2017-07-29 01:19:13 UTC

so america

2017-07-29 01:20:51 UTC

Not saying that all this is bad, i'd likely not get to talk to any of you, ever, but we've exchanged actual interaction and companionship for a sterilized version of it, and it's just sad.

2017-07-29 01:22:24 UTC

Which one of you goys can help me out here.

2017-07-29 01:22:28 UTC

?

2017-07-29 01:22:43 UTC

Depends on what it is, i suppose.

2017-07-29 01:22:54 UTC

Nvm

2017-07-29 01:22:57 UTC

I can do it hahah

2017-07-29 01:23:05 UTC

Well fuck you too then 😛

2017-07-29 01:25:28 UTC

I think that's one of the other things that sets us apart. We can rip in to eachother, state by state, city by city, for whatever reason, and REALLY put some heat behind it...and then just go on like it's no big deal. Because it fucking isn't a big deal. Head to your average collage campus, or nice, modern, progressive city, and if you call someone a fuckstick in passing conversation and you'd likely end up with state appointed niceness classes.

2017-07-29 01:33:51 UTC

Unless you're an oppressed minority, of course, in which case you will be lauded for your resistance against evil whitey.

2017-07-29 01:38:02 UTC

We are a oppressed minority. We're just not exotic enough. we're just flyover hillbillies, who cares about them, right? It's so...galling. We're the ones who make things, to do and build, or at least we were, and that makes us classless trash. Because we have scarred hands and dirty mouths, we're human garbage, but if someone straps on a wig and hacks their dick off, they're the light of the future. We pray facing the heavens, and try to keep our families safe and happy with us, and that makes us backward, close minded degenerates. Yet if we did the same facing mecca, the media can't fall to their knees fast enough.

2017-07-29 01:39:49 UTC

And over it all titter the ironic beard wearing men and empowered demigendered women who can't signal fast enough on how progressive and strong and upright they are between forging new hashtags. Yet a man who can build a shotgun from some tubes of metal, a block of wood and some hand tools is a useless hick.

2017-07-29 01:40:13 UTC

...sorry, kids are in bed, and i'm on fire it seems, pardon.

2017-07-29 01:47:13 UTC

To get back a little bit to where i started, we need to be strong together. Even if it's just playing video games over a network, sharing books or memes, it doesn't matter, just that little bit can be the start. From there grows trust. And, to dive right into the water, trusting and working with your fellow man makes you a bad, bad goy.

2017-07-29 01:48:47 UTC

oi vey

2017-07-29 01:52:24 UTC

If you can depend on your fellows and family for things like, say, food, shelter, aid and even care for the sick and elderly, why do you need a complex nannystate to do it for you? If you can make for yourself, why do you need to buy the state approved prepackage goods? I'm not saying I hate america, i really don't, and i hope and pray it can unfuck itself, but we've gotten so whipped up that we need to be coddled and cared for it's just pathetic. We're some of the last states with any kind of real ability to make our own way, who still remember. It's why i'm here, even if this shit all falls apart.

2017-07-29 01:53:04 UTC

i imagine most of us here already have that, thank god

2017-07-29 01:54:43 UTC

It's heartening to know that there's others out there, truly. I've been feeling slowly more insane the more i question what it is the world seems to want me to become. Even this small collection of bad goys is very heartening.

2017-07-29 01:55:58 UTC

good to hear

2017-07-29 01:58:51 UTC

Imagine going back to letting kids play outside. Where you could walk around your neighborhood, say hi, even drop in for a visit if you wanted. Where you could plant a garden without getting a license. Where you don't have to worry about keeping windows and doors closed up because you don't know who or what might peek in, or worse. Where, if you wanted privacy, if you wanted to just close up and be alone for a bit, people left you the fuck alone, rather then trying to pry in to why you're doing that, what you're hiding. It's such simple stuff, but if i started touting this stuff in public tomarrow, i'd likely make the news, and not for any good reason.

2017-07-29 02:00:17 UTC

yea, I remember it being more like that in the past, I'm aware that sounds stupid given my age but still

2017-07-29 02:02:19 UTC

It's not, really. It's happening faster and faster. Nostalgia makes everything sweeter, sure, but I remember just a few years ago, you didn't have to worry about so much. Now, if you bump into the wrong person on the street, you could get beaten up and told to apologize for being a bigot. it's insane.

2017-07-29 02:02:43 UTC

Same @Norden_Dunkel
It's amazing how much things have changed even within the past decade

2017-07-29 02:03:00 UTC

it all depends where you are really, but the trends are still a thing

2017-07-29 02:03:25 UTC

@knc217 yea I'm only 16 and I can see a change

2017-07-29 02:04:24 UTC

Out in the boonies of the midwest it's not changed much, but the closer you get to the cities and such, it shows. Like...I remember when detroit was functional. Always a rough town, sure, but you could walk around and not worry. They had culture still, some sense of dignity. Now...not so much.

2017-07-29 02:05:23 UTC

Non globalized culture is dying everyday

2017-07-29 02:05:32 UTC

I live in the suburbs of what used to be one of the best cities in Ohio. Now it's just a rundown drug haven.
The city, not my town

2017-07-29 02:06:06 UTC

ah, I'm near southbend and their school system is practically third world
