based beaner
lmao
@Smash Bruh even as a human I don't like sharing a race with AOC
@Savage it's the only way
Does anybody else agree that if we got rid of the minimum wage it would take away one of the primary incentives for illegal immigration? Why hire illegals if you can pay a citizen whatever you want?
the honorable ruff ginsbork
@Savage I do wonder about that, but I think that it's likely the wages citizens took would end up settling around the mid point between where the old minimum wage was and what companies were paying illegals.
there would definitely be a pain period of adjustment but I think it might yield longer term benefits -- especially as automation comes along, we might need to have really low paying simple jobs like George Jetson hitting his big red button.
@Savage Oh I don't disagree, it was just something I had been thinking about.
@The Best Answers yep that's definitely a huge issue as well.
obviously
Someone on Crowder's recent change my mind RE: the wall -- one of the kids who sat down said we didn't need a wall because we could have tunnel detectors. ... what would they be tunneling under in that scenario?
I had a close friend stop talking to me because I sent her a Ben Shapiro video.
Sad times.
I think I was a pretty radical leftist because I lost almost all of my friends once I simply stopped thinking conservatives were literally Satan's cross-bred Hitler clone.
@Piggles I know that's all I was doing was engaging their public posts on certain topics too it's legitimately pretty fucking sad.
I wonder sometimes if any of them will come around. It's funny to think they probably think way more negatively of me than I do of them and I haven't even done anything to them.
yeah, I've learned that lesson in a pretty rough manner @Savage -- minor caveat: I never lost conservative friends even at my most radical lefty-est
Aint that the truth.
oh and hey everyone I dunno why I was so hesitant to ever come in here it's nice to chat I'm realizing I've been starved for it.
been all cloistered for a while.
@2krispy4u when I was being hired for my current job, the person doing the hiring said to me with little to no prompt: "We really don't like Donald Trump here, in case you were wondering." and I only managed to say "I wasn't... but okay."
smoooth
well they can definitely bleed
I think any trans person who has anything bad to say about Rachel Dolezal is a hypocrite.
@Piggles Night
Anyone watched any of u m a m i 's stuff?
great animations that taste of old internet.
it's sort of like arthouse surrealism in a fast food resturaunt rendered in ms paint
absolutely
the punchline for me is when the tears start streaming out of his eyes lol
it might be an acquired taste
which I think is part of the point of his moniker
Agreed.
a thinking man's lol
I enjoy that they've developed their own style. I like whenever I see anybody do that.
absolutely. The McDrivin' one was the first post on the channel
and it's kind of escalated from there.
I took one of his animations and mixed a Jordan Peterson impersonator talking about Burger King into the song they used. And I think it was a good idea
feel free to disregard at any point I tend to overshare
A very good impersonator but yes
Matt should go on Jesse Lee Peterson's show
BAYDUH!
Morality is tricky, even the golden rule "Do unto others as you would have done unto you." has shortcomings. What happens when a masochist takes that to heart?
yep
That has some really negative consequences as well. Lots of parents commit pretty atrocious acts with just that mindset, that they want what's best and know how to bring that about in their children.
A lot of parents are terrible to their children unfortunately.
So it reads more like "Treat people like a parent should treat a child" and that doesn't get us anywhere really because it's still on us to define the way they should be treating kids at that point.
but wanting to bring about the good in yourself and others is probably still the best mindset
it's just you need to be ever vigilant your efforts don't produce the opposite effect, and a lot of people forget to do that
It's paved in good intentions
and lined with virtue signals.
that's funny you say that I was just having a discussion with a buddy about that. It's uh, not looking too great. It's almost like if Sam Hyde was more serious about what he was saying.
There's a difference between a sauntering descent into madness and a new comedy set.
The Southern Poverty Call Center called in to Jesse Lee Peterson's show. Epic crossover
I'm still trying to figure out how they distill a social construct down into hormone injection form
Is anyone surprised that the Mad Liberals speak in a manner indiscernable from Mad Libs.
the idea that terrorism wouldn't have exists before WW1 is kind of silly my bros
@Engineered Eldritch Catgirl read my comment again.
lolol
