no. i just play one on tv

enemy.....when russia is an ally.....admittedly a very loose definition of the term but still an ally....

@randomNPCno3 dude. furry isnโ€™t exclusively NSFW. there is plenty art and furry crafts that are family friendly. furthermore, fur cons typically have a family friendly requirement for all suits worn in public. stop thinking all furries are sexual deviants and maybe unbury your head from the sand when you read 50 shades of gray.

besides, why is it ok to run up to mickey mouse and give him a hug but itโ€™s super weird and creepy to see a fursuiter in public?

yeah. itโ€™s because the lamestream media picks and chooses what material to showcase. they overemphasize the NSFW content while blatantly ignoring the other stuff which is more predominant if you pay attention

people wear their suits in public all the time. itโ€™s because they like to see the smiles it brings to an otherwise dreary world or because itโ€™s sadly the only way they feel able to fully express themselves. furry is such a huge subject that you do it a disservice by simply saying itโ€™s NSFW

the justification of furry = nsfw just because itโ€™s whatโ€™s typically showcased via major media outlets is what iโ€™m addressing.

itโ€™s become such a major blanket description that completely covers up the actual good these people do in their communities. everything from making kids smile to donating to animal welfare charities gets overlooked because โ€œomg. they draw animals with peepees.โ€ thatโ€™s really only one part of the bigger picture.

iโ€™m not denying that the porn and weird fetishes exist. i know they do. but they also exist in normal non furry communities too. itโ€™s part of the human condition. we all have something that turns us on whether we call ourselves furry or not. itโ€™s kinda silly to ignore the miles of porn shops that existed long before furry was even a widely known thing

furry doesnโ€™t = zoophile either. not for everyone. iโ€™m sure there are some, but i have yet to meet any. again, that is such a small chunk of the whole community and there is one in particular who was outed as being pretty brutal in that department. no one in the community who knows about it condones that behavior.

yeah. canโ€™t do that on a phone and discord removed the slash lol

there are more zoophile cases i know of from (until told otherwise) non furries than i personally know of from fellow furries, so to say weโ€™re zoophiles just because we choose to represent ourselves with a cartoon animal is very wrong

for some furries, they choose a specific animal because they feel some kind of connection to it. they feel they are able to relate better to - say a fox - than to fellow humans. honestly, i see it as a coping mechanism many people fall to. there are a lot of broken and hurting people in the fandom and they seek strength from the like minded support of others in the community

myself, i like the creativity of many of the characters and i enjoy making my own personas. i go through a lot. lol

i do admit that i have had moments where i have fallen out of the enchantment of the fandom. it is certainly not what it used to be when i officially started calling myself furry. it has taken a much deeper turn toward the adult themes which is the opposite of what drew me to it. but i still associate with the term because i still find it fun to see myself as an anthropomorphic critter. itโ€™s a fantasy daydream to help make reality a bit more exciting. so i guess you could say i also use it as an escape, but less so because of mental trauma and more to help further my creative mindset.

sorry. iโ€™m done now. xD

yes. that is true. and the egyptians frequently depicted their gods with animal like traits. i think it has only been in recent years with the emergence of the furry subculture that it has been treated as some weird fetish to be afraid of

and then thereโ€™s anime i guess. lol

iโ€™m just gon preface that with japan is weird and move on.

but we all need a little weird now and then. *stashes her anime under the bed*

i think it has some truly good people following some really bad ideaology

isreal is defending their land. palestine is defending theirs. they both feel certain lands should be theirs. thus, you have war.

i honestly donโ€™t see how either side has committed war crimes

@Kinky Kitsune (Coomer) there is likely a reason for the shooting of civilians. or have we forgotten that to islamists, anyone with a pulse is a possible bomb?
