Well yes, it's obvious. You're much more likely to get along with people that share the same heritage and culture and you.

Different ethnicities have different morals and ideals that lead them to want and value different things from each other. If you mix different ethnicities together in one place they naturally feel alienated from each other.

Actually there were even people warning us about what would happen if we took in too many Polish people during the 40s.

Thing is though, Italians could do a much better job of blending in to other western nations if they weren't so arrogant and confrontational.
