I've had real jobs before. I'm an engineer. Worked as an R&D Engineer for the past two years. I'm back in school because I'm all about that MD/PhD life now

I'm actually highly interested in medicine. I'm a chemical/biological engineer by trade. Worked on some pharamacuaticals and caught the bug for tying in clinical research

While it definitely has it's place, using that as a building block is going to have lots of issues. From a biological standpoint but also a "progress" standpoint.

Limiting genetic diversity in your population will eventually cause serious problems in any group leading to losses in viable offspring. The offsprings that do survive will have issues.

Mindset and cultural cohesion are more important in my opinion than ethnicity.

However I don't have an issue with people having a preference for their own "group"

That's natural and to be expected. However our natural, animalistic states are less than ideal for forming functioning societies.

@ComradeChaos Religion definitely can help people blend into a homogeneous culture. At the core though, religion is a unifying identity. I think any unifying identity can help people come together to function at a group
