@Borzo How long have you been down under? How was the assimiliation process? Do you sitll have an accent?

How long have you been there for?

All right; how was the assimilation process?

Do you think you're still not assimilated yet?

Assimilating

It means getting used to the new country

Blending in with its people, its culture, etc.

Do people in Australia even know Belarus exists?

Because I bet you half the people in my Advanced Placement History class don't even know that Belarus is a country.

How did they react to that?

Yeah, there is a lot of anti-Soviet propaganda around westernized countries.

anti-Communist propaganda in general.

My History teacher totally forgets the fact that the USSR did a bunch of good things as well that helped the US and always makes the USSR seem as bad as they possibly can

I like the idea of Glasnost in general but I heavily dislike the dissolution of the USSR

And the things that Gorbachev did to lessen the influence of the USSR

I'm 99% sure my piano teacher was born in the USSR

She's like 60-something and she has a Russian accent (or at least Slavic)

I wish the USSR still existed; I cri everytim

Why tf did they have to fucking dissolve the entire union?

I would totally be for a reunion of the USSR but I am against Putin trying to reclaim lands such as South Ossetia, Abkhazia, and Crimea.

Because those reclamations are against the wills of the countries that Russia is invading.

I have an uncle that lives in Astana; I really hope I can visit him someday so I can see Soviet-era shit.

Welp, you've got a point. There is no use in showing my sjw History teacher REAL History and not the censored version, as he is too damn stupid to actually see the factuality in it.

Very true.

I personally believe that Gorbachev was a coward for dissolving the USSR. What do you guys think?

Unfortunately, there will always be the Nazi spies who don't say word, but analyze our each and every sentence, seeing what the left thinks about them.

Pathetic.

I've never been online during a raid. What usually happens then?

ะะตั‚ ั‚ั‹

What kind of pictures?

Like anti-Soviet propaganda?

When was that made, @Donitz ?

Right after Operation Barbarossa started?

Nice; pretty epic.

Hmm... it's a bit too late for that kind of propaganda in '45 xD

Really shows the actual war effort.

US and UK team up in the west, USSR takes the east, and France does nothing.

You know, Stalin was actually portrayed positively in Western countries during WWII

But then when their economic power became a threat to the US, they started hating him and depicting him as evil.

Khrushchev's speech condemning Stalin when he came into power was good, but it didn't help the image of the USSR very much and caused even more hate toward them, with a lot of Anti-Stalin resentment still present and now growing in Western nations.

@DA GOMMIE JOO Do you have any primary experience with Communism? e.g. have you seen, firsthand, Communism in the USSR or Yugoslavia or the effects of it? Just asking because I'm really interested in the history of it and want to learn more from people who have experienced Communism themselves.

Ugh; yaha pai koi nahi Hindi bolta hai

How old are you?

Nice; mid-teen here.

What is your opinion on Stalin?

Finally, someone who thinks that achievements matter, even for killers.

I've been having some debates with anti-Communists/overall anti-Soviets lately and I've been having some trouble refuting some of their claims.

Could you tell me something I could say in response to someone talking about how many Soviets escaped over the wall into West Berlin to break free from Soviet oppression?

What's your story?

Have you lived through the actual Cold War?
@Firefly

R.I.P. the entire Romanov family

And all those poor souls that died on Red Sunday

@TheTeacher How long should a leader rule, in your opinion?

Many people criticize Stalin for killing so many people. While I don't agree with all of his killings, his strong will helped the USSR during the first years of the Cold War. Future Soviet leaders should've had steel-forged wills like Stalin did. If that happened, the USSR might've still been around today.

At least you're smart enough to do that.

I once met this person who said the US did more work than the USSR in WWII

There is a server called "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics". I joined it for actual Communist discussions but it's full of memes. While I love memes, nobody takes me seriously since they all completely hate Stalin.

I try to tell them about Stalin's achievements and they all say: Communsim doesn't work.

And I say: wtf it would if the West didn't always interfere.

Heh; good idea @Firefly

I don't know much about the Soviet-Afghan war; my history textbook is pretty biased because I'm in the US, but the US definitely fucked up when backing the Mujahideen.

Actually, neither my history textbook or teacher ever mentioned the Mujahideen by name even once, probably for this very reason.

What do you think of Zhou Enlai?

Don't know enough about him, either.

Are you talking about the overthrow of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi?

Because that's not the Mujahideen we're referring to.

We're referring to the US-backed Mujahideen forces in Afghanistan who pushed back the Soviets @Ditzy Doo

Some of them.

I have a test on everything from 1992-2014 in History tomorrow.

@Ditzy Doo You were probably thinking about the 1979 coup in Iran which overthrew the US-backed King Mohammad Reza Pahlavi who was installed after the Anglo-Soviet invasion of Iran which overthrew his father. After that coup, Ayatollah Khomeini took over and after his death 10 years later, the current Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei, took over.

A lot more happened; but I don't know that much.

Oh, and I forgot to mention - the Anglo-Soviet invasion was a part of WWII

As a result of that invasion, the USSR also took parts of north Iran and said it was part of Azerbaijan.

Apologies; will remove my filthy propaganda.

Oleg Gazmanov - Made in USSR

Pretty epic artist.

Where the hell did all the regular people on this server go.

Welp; haven't seen a single one of my regular comrades on here.

Don't say the n-word - that's racist!!!!!11111 ๐Ÿ˜

Don't you know I don't have my vaccines?

The nigger word is racist you kike.

Don't ever say that fucking word or I'll treat you like an Armenian in WWI Turkey.

Mine was dead-center when I took it.
