Well some reasons are more obvious then others but for me it is that they are hiding more land, resources and other beings and want to maintain control over you. Also you maintain control over a population by creating the perception that the land is over crowded by population, that there is scarcity of resources, that they are helpless without the current system so they don't go looking for a better way of living, that you are small and insignificant and your life doesn't matter unless you fall in line with the matrix, that there is no source and no one watching. What if we weren't meant to die but they keep us from journeying back to where we came from and regening ourselves? What I think we should do about it is continue to eat away at the sleeping brothers and sisters by waking them up and then keep infiltrating various parts of the system until there is more of us then there are of them and then attempt a system change in order to completely disrupt the current one. Once they have been exposed then the current system will fold and we usher in a new one. I prefer Ubuntu contributions. It is a great replacement and you don't lose anything in the transition process.

Looking to the past will not help with our current situation. They make for great conversation tho. I am with citizen when he said we weren't there so all we have is speculation and beliefs.
