When I was a mod. At r/greatawakening on Reddit we were. Offered donations all the time. We didn't take any because we were not suppose to. It's ok to take donations now? Who is getting the money? If the money goes to support the cause, covers individual expenses of people that went above and beyond. Like the director for example or others. I'm all for paying support staff. It needs to be in the open, not hidden. It doesn't look good. It looks fucking shady and will damage the movement. All I'm asking for is a little transparity and a financial report of how the money is being spent. If not all it looks like is everyone is being shaken down, There is a whole lot more that needs to happen for it to look legit. I wrote a paper on this very concept, months ago.
If that were to happen then yes get all the fucking donations we can. Spread the wealth with everyone.
