4. Unemployment has surged into the millions. Those unemployed will be receiving $600 weekly from the stimulus bill, and those laid off will potentially receive for up to 4 months. Are we handling the sudden end of the employment boom in the correct way? Should we instead focus on those still capable of working? Is the $600 even good enough for those needing to afford a home and food during this time of unemployment?

5. Global production has rapidly decreased, with the US already in a recession according to some experts, as relations between China and the US stiffen. The United States, Europe, Japan, China and India are placing a combined $7 trillion to prevent further global economic depression via health coverage, food assistance, and business relief. Will they succeed, and how will the relations change moving forward?

Many have cited how if essential government workers are not allowed to work via lockdown, the economy will crash, while others claim the safety of the people is the only way to preserve a stable future economy, even if for a brief time no work is done. Which do you agree with and why? Do you also think those infected with corona should receive paid leave if they're not sick enough to receive hospital treatment?

5. Many citizens have shown to have little-to-no care about the severity of the disease and continue to go outside for non-essential purposes. The fear is even if quarantine or lockdown is enacted state or nationwide, the amount of individuals disobeying would overwhelm police authorities. Do you foresee martial law as a probable future action? Do you believe it's necessary to have military checkpoints regardless of lockdown to monitor travel of goods and individuals?

Should tenure be removed or at least have higher standards, or, is the salary of the teacher what needs to be changed?

2. Few states require high school students to take classes such as “Personal Finance” and “Family Life” before graduating. Many students believe they enter the real world with absolutely no life skills or information on how to survive on their own. Should the government institute a program for Juniors and Seniors nationwide to prepare them for adulthood? What should be taught?

3. Homework and testing are typically the two most debated subjects when it comes to the efficiency of learning. Testing forces the student to memorize specific information for that period, only to forget it and make room for new information for the next test. Some say homework shouldn’t be necessary if the teacher is doing their job correctly. Do you agree with any of these claims, and what changes should be made?

4. Education receives on average 7% of the federal budget and is typically 2nd or 3rd in line for what it receives compared to the other national priorities. Should education receive more funding, and if so, which national priority should that funding be taken out of?

5. The biggest clash between parents and schools is the topic of religion in schools. The “Under God” of the Pledge of Allegiance for non-Christians and non-chaste sex ed within schools for Christians for example. Many feel biases can be present within history and English courses, which are designed to introduce students to American culture and identity. What is the best way of approaching this?

1. Marijuana currently exists as a Schedule I drug (along with LSD and Ecstasy) meaning it holds no medical use and high addiction possibility, thus listing it as more dangerous than cocaine, meth, and such drugs. Do you agree with this scheduling, or should it be lowered? If lower, would you also advocate medical use of it?

2. Psychedelics such as mushrooms and LSD have been attributed to “spiritual awakenings” among people in low doses and are highly used in countries such as the Netherlands for both recreational and medical use. Are there any real benefits to these drugs, or are the risks simply too dangerous for human consumption at any level?

3. The War on Drugs has been attributed to be an utter failure for the suppression of drug use and is also blamed for the higher intake and potency of drugs today. Initiatives like D.A.R.E have also been blamed for prematurely exposing kids to drugs at a young age. Does this simply mean there is no way to stop the flow of drugs? What forms of mitigation and/or suppression would be beneficial?

4. The Opioid Crisis represents America’s issue of doctor’s overprescribing drugs that are otherwise highly addictive and damaging, yet still “Over the Counter”. Many users end up moving towards harder drugs such as meth and heroin, solely for the cheaper price. Who is truly to blame; the doctors who prescribe them, the companies to produce them, the patients for abusing them past the recommended doses, or is it a joint responsibility?

5. Alcohol and tobacco have remained the most “legal” forms of drugs for an individual to purchase and consume as long as they are of age, yet both still cause tens of thousands to die from physical illness (cancer, destroyed liver, etc) and accidents. Should America opt for a drug-free system, or has prohibition simply shown suppression does not work? Are these drugs perfectly fine in your mind if they’re taken in moderation?

```1. Currently, the path to citizenship is a long process with applicants needing to wait at least 5 years before entry. By that same process, requirements are arguably low; be able to read/speak/write English and have basic US history and civic knowledge and be a “person of good moral character”. Do you think the citizenship process itself is too long? Do you think the requirements are enough?

2. To be an American, you must simply be born on American soil, yet this has caused concern of “anchor babies”, specifically those of illegal immigrants attempting to keep their children in this country so they don’t face deportation. Should requirements for citizenship be implemented? Is this even a large-enough problem that requires concern?

3. The border wall has been the subject of debate regarding preventing further illegal immigration into the United States. Some claim funding towards the wall is beneficial, while others say funding the border patrol with military-grade equipment will be far more efficient. Others say it’s not even worth funding due to most immigrants arriving via plane and overextending visas. How should America go about border patrol?

4. An issue with immigration, both legal and illegal, is that a good majority are willing to work jobs of high-risk and workload for a minimum to sub-average pay. Do you believe that this is beneficial for the economy as businesses are able to expand by hiring people to do work that others wouldn’t otherwise do or creates an unnecessary burden on the economy?

5. Currently, illegal immigration is simply a civil misdemeanor, with all of those who are caught typically being deported back to their country of origin if not jailed for a very brief period for holding. Do you think the severity of the infraction should be raised higher to deter further immigrants? Should we get Mexico’s government further involved, if possible, for solving this issue?```

1. Currently, states are starting to open up due to the drop in new coronavirus cases. Many fear this would only make the situation worse since many still have not recovered yet. If the coronavirus were to stay around up to the election, could it reduce voter turnout and massively impact the outcome of the election?

2. Currently, scientists believe the virus will grow weaker during the summer and increase in potential infectivity during the fall and winter, especially around election day. Would pushing for a different date be a better option for the sake of public health, despite any potential problems?

3. Since the start of the pandemic, many have criticized Trump, pointing to his lack of immediate response claiming it made the situation worse in the United States. Do you believe Joe Biden's chances at winning the election has increased as a result of the blame on Trump? Or do you think Trump has been handling the situation where voter support is rising in his favor?

4. In March, the stock market crashed, erasing much of Trump's economic progress and hurting the labor force in America. With almost 10% of the population unemployed, some point to the Democrats as potential profiteers of voters as they pushed for more money for a larger population of people with the stimulus checks, and are appointing themselves as providers of social security and welfare. Do you see this swaying current voter's opinions?

5. One of the potential solutions politicians are placing for citizens to vote is voting by mail. Trump & the Republicans fear this could lead to mass voter fraud, especially with no way to provide identification of the sender. Some claim only those searching for work should receive assistance. Others say the government should provide work for people instead, even if low-wage. Do you agree with these claims?

2. Unions stand to protect worker interests such as better pay and work conditions, yet membership has significantly dropped and many large corporations stand to be nonunion. Communication between employers and employees can become disorganized, and wages are forcefully increased, forcing employers to hire less. Do you believe unions today harm the economy more than helping it?

3. Most jobs require previous work experience for better consideration of being hired, so most people turn to internships. These tend to be nonpaid, and the employed person must often find temporal housing for their area of work, making the process to complete the internship high-cost. Should corporations or the government provide stipends since the intern is still providing labor to the company?

4. The minimum wage hasn't raised at the same level as inflation, with 2.7% of the workforce working at or below this level. The focus has been placed on increasing it to assist those working these jobs to make a "livable wage". Some say this would hurt businesses or force customers to pay higher prices when these jobs are not careers anyone should try to build a foundation within. Should minimum wage increase?

5. Retired individuals typically hold savings and pensions to assist them in living when they are unable to continue working. However, people are living older and some run out of their savings, often forcing them to return back to work while others find themselves bored and wanting to work. Should we look to find a way to utilize the older population in the workforce if they choose to?

1. US citizens typically pay twice as much for healthcare compared to the rest of the developed world. Reasons for this include medical education, outsourcing for tests, & medical equipment being far more expensive compared to other countries as American healthcare is an open market. Should access to healthcare be the primary focus, or does the current market of healthcare already allow practitioners to provide the best quality treatment?

2. There have been rare cases of pharmaceutical industries raising the price of life-saving drugs for illnesses like diabetes, AIDS, and hepatitis by over 1000%. The federal government holds virtually no power towards negotiating prices, especially for medicare, allowing corporations to set that at whatever cap they desire. Should the United States follow other countries and hold a say in what drug prices are, or should corporations have a full say of the price, even if the prices are outrageously high?

3. With no penalty existing for uninsured Americans, citizens are able to take the risk of living their lives with no form of insurance. Medicaid and other forms of subsidized insurance seek to assist those with disabilities, old age, and low income, by charging virtually nothing if eligible, yet most point to high-risk people who typically make up the majority of those on these programs. Is there an inherent link to poor health and poverty, and if so, should these programs hold higher eligibility requirements to offset the costs.
