really good move on his part
HarmfulOpinions destroyed them, Candid CEO tried to doxx HO, tried to harass his mother.
yep
seems they got fucked by the community, judging by their reddit :P
"Where is candid?????"
"It doesn't exist no more"
Oh yes, they burned down hard.
excellent
Shoe0nMouth even started banning people that mentioned Candid or HO on Greg's YouTube comments.
decompiled candid code
anyway neither davecullen or basedmama seem to have made any videos responding to the NC/NDA stuff, but it's safe to presume this is handled entirely by some idiot lawfirm
including distributing and retrieving the signed documents
I think you would have to look at the NC/NDA first
That is completely normal if they are too be paid for the services on a 1099 basis
Huh
It depends on the wording of what they signed
I have never seen a 1099 based employment that did not have a noncompete or a non disclosure
Very interesting dank
To me it sounds like he is trying to find drama where there is none. Or he does not understand the terms of the NC/NDA
can they be payed by a US entity if they travel under a standard B1 visa?
Tim spoke at other events, never had to sign those. AFAIK the speakers are not getting paid.
They're spending their own money to attend.
afaik travel expenses for international guests are non-taxable business expenses anyway
so it's mostly a question of actual payment for services
Are they not being paid?
Or reimbursed for travel?
And the only other point unless he posts the wording of the document it is impossible to know the meaning of the NDA or the NC
>Edit: And having just read the NC, **it's demanding** none of the speakers be speakers for **any other convention** for **12 months**, starting 30th December. So yeah, that's a big red flag, not even REAL conventions do that, couple that with a 3 year NDA & I'm going to predict right now that this entire scam is going to be a fly by night money making scam.

Is this it??
ITT people do not understand how to read
>Businesses competitive with Kilroy
and?
Why?
within 100 miles
Again, why?
who would compete with killroy?
Another event?
well Razorfist lives just outside Phoenix, might hurt him
What are the odds of another event happening in Phoenix in the next 16 months?
do they directly compete?
doubt it
I guess that's up to Kilroy to decide, if an event competes or not. And the judge.
odd thing to sign
It's odd, it's not a normal thing to demand from speakers.
and you have done these before?
"Sign it because everyone does it."
this looks completely standard to me
but it doesn't stop you from doing the same thing outside of a 100 mile radius
Tim and others are claiming they never had to sign either in previous events where they were speakers.
and?
which is mostly desert?
that does not make it not standard
Nor the claims of DanNobodyConway makes it standard.
if you say so
i just dont really care for mass misunderstanding
He should have asked a lawyer or a paralegal
before tweeting it out and making a potential ass of himself
Tim had spoken at hacker conventions, where quite a few speakers are gray hats. Never had to sign NDAs and NCs.
Sorry, Tim has more credibility than you.
can you read?
no
Dan, spit it out on specific lines instead of rhetorical questions please
join the voice
and this is just what i found on reddit
i cannot confirm that this is the actual one Tim tweeted
yeah that sounds entirely fair to me, and if the noncompete is standard boilerplate then that's what I would have expected as well
Based Mama is an attention whore.
it seems like Tim is as well
he could have done this behind closed doors
instead of potentialy derailing the entire event
The one having to keep secrecy about guests is the organizers. They have to sign NDAs to protect their anonymity. Tim isn't any more able to reveal private information than any attendee.
You sound a lot like the one guy on KiA shilling for the event.
yes he is, if they're going to have panels where tim will sit next to someone with a hat+sunglasses
and they'll probably have a green room
where people who want to remain anonymous to the public won't mind revealing themselves to the speakers
operations, guests, and finances
that is what the non disclosure covers
and i am watching the video
@DanielKO that guy at the bottom tho
Heโs woke af
This is the new punk rock?
CONSERVATISM IS THE NEW COUNTERCULTURE
MAINSTREAM MEDIYA
fucking pjw
I agree with Tim Pool. Somethings FUCKY
Of course somethingโs fucky
Extra fucky if you saw based mamas response
the one pasted above, or some other reply?
I don't agree that anything is fucky at all, this seems like business as usual to me
Except it's not usual.
for a conference, you mean? I agree that the NC seems draconian on the face of it
