People are often picked on for being different, even if it's simply that they have a particular interest in something that they articulate in a manner that betrays some eagerness

yeah they do that behavior while loudly preaching "just be yourself and be confident"

I remember in school I won a competition and these kids didn't beleive that I won it, so I showed them on the website and they laughed at me because I was described as 'keen'
