The idea behind what I was talking about was making a steel pipe into a miniature shotgun barrel and pressure sensitive firing mechanism

So when someone stepped on it that a nail would bury itself into the primer and wind up maiming someone's foot

They come in a large variety of calibers, each one acting in different ways

Generally 5.56mm is what you'll find the most of since I'm pretty sure it's still used by the US military
